The Associated Press just released this story, Military leader says no plans for troops in Yemen . The problem is, that several reliable and credible sources in the past few weeks have been quoted in the press as inferring that we have intelligence paramilitary forces and special operations forces already operating in Yemen. Now I ask you, at what point do we start playing this straight with the people who are paying for this escalation of war, i.e., the American taxpayer?
This might seem like an innocent and completely understandable ruse for our military to take with the press but the problem is that every time that statements like this are made and the media proves them false, that is one more notch cut off the Pentagon’s credibility. Soon that credibility is whittled down to nothing, or something less than the width of a toothpick. At some point the generals and admirals have no credibility. Word to the wise.
