Pakistan worried U.S. buildup in Afghanistan will send militants across border – Washington Post

In today’s Washington Post we read how lukewarm our support is getting from our "ally" Pakistan in an article entitled Pakistan worried U.S. buildup in Afghanistan will send militants across border . It is hard to tell friends from enemies on just about every level there isn’t it? Do you think that is deliberate? Or do you think we have simply deluded ourselves into thinking we have allies?

Here is an excerpt:

"With a surge in American troops across the border, the militants facing pressure could come to our place, which will destroy peace and stability," said Haji Adam Khan, the top official in Qilla Abdullah, a mountainous Pakistani district that abuts Kandahar province in southern Afghanistan. "

Great plan we’ve got.  Virtually no one who counts is onboard with us.  Why do you think that is?

In another article giving further details about the Jordanian spy-physician who killed seven CIA agents and one senior Jordanian spy when he blew himself up we learn how Machiavellian this series of wars truly is for all concerned.  The article is entitled Suicide bomber who attacked CIA post in Afghanistan was trusted informant from Jordan .

It is hard to count on informants, spies, Muslim soldiers and other "allies" when killing themselves for Allah ensures everlasting peace and the glory of martyrdom.  All they have to do is kill our people at any and every opportunity.  They seem to be doing quite a good job at it too.

Here is a related story that speaks to that issue directly and it is entitled Attack shows risk of infiltration in Afghanistan.

And another article shows that Afghan "insurgents" are turning to IEDs just like the Iraqi "insurgents" did when we liberated that country.  The piece is entitled Roadside bombing kills 4 U.S. troops in Afghanistan; British soldier also dies.

Standby for more young Americans coming home severely injured with lifetime disabilities because their brain has been blown off the brain stem.  And also standby for the D.V.A. to deny their claims.  It is a vicious cycle.

Here is an example of a foreign "ally" not wanting us to take center stage or even acknowledge our help.  The article entitled Yemeni officials, fearing backlash, play down partnership with U.S. shows just how not-wanted we really are in Yemen at the same time they are fighting TWO civil wars in that country and attempting to hold down Al Qaeda also.

If they don’t want our help under these desperate circumstances, what does that tell you about our appeal to Muslims in political distress?  They seem to be much more open to having an intimate relationship with one of their own camels than to having us as an ally.  What does that say to you?

And finally, in an odd story from the New York Times entitled NATO Official: US Spy Work Lacking in Afghanistan we find that NATO is not impressed with the capabilities of U.S. intelligence inside and on the ground in Afghanistan.  They complain that U.S. intelligence simply does not understand the place.

Wow!  That is some statement!
