Amazon gives to county veterans

The largest employer in Tracy is trying to improve the lives of a group of deserving county residents — veterans with disabilities.
Amazon.com gave the Disabled American Veterans Charities of San Joaquin County $10,000 during a brief ceremony Tuesday at the company’s second fulfillment center in Tracy, SJC-7, at Mountain House Parkway and Old Schulte Road.

“We want to have a great relationship with the community both in providing jobs and, when we’re able, provide support to different charities,” Brian Fontenot, general manager of Amazon Fulfillment Center SJC-7, said before the ceremony.
