Educational benefits for veterans addressed at veterans advisory meeting

According to U.S. Rep. Mike Rogers (AL-03), the biggest hurdle for men and women after serving in the military is finding the education benefits that are available for veterans.
But there are programs to help.
In Spring 2016, Jacksonville State University had about 430 students using some type of VA educational benefit.
Justin Parker, the university’s director of veteran services, also says there are still many veterans unaware of the assistance they can get.
