Again, common sense is your best friend here just look at facts and always keep in mind if something looks way too good to be true on paper then most likely it is.
Many times people get wrapped up in the idea of making money with a particular opportunity they really like so much so they tend to overlook important facts. Sales is always an emotional thing at some point but always try to make the decision with your head in the end. Don’t allow your overzealousness (if that is a word?) get the best of you.
Lastly, it is important to know the company’s compensation plan. This is how you will be getting paid so it should be the most important of the three things. How does the company pay? what percentage is the commission you receive? how often? what form of payment is it direct deposit? pay online? If the opportunity is mult-level do you receive commissions off of the sales of others? if so, what is the percentage? and how many levels deep do they pay?
You cannot really come to terms with making a decision about starting a home based business and moving forward with that until you have actually studied and identified all the factors mentioned above. Then and only then can you make an informed decision. Remember that whatever path you choose can have a direct affect on your entire family if you are married, have children, etc. Also, if the company you choose meets all the criteria then most likely you will want to work with them for a long time as a long term income source.
