TEHRAN (FNA)- Sources disclosed on Wednesday that the US-backed Free Syrian Army (FSA) continues to share US arms supplies with terrorist groups in Syria.

“The FSA is working side-by-side with al-Qaeda-affiliated groups and supplying them with US-made arms supplied to them by certain Persian Gulf countries like Saudi Arabia and Qatar in order to continue the fight against the Syrian Army,” the sources said.

“The Free Syrian Army has worked hand-in-hand with Al-Qaeda affiliates, providing them with necessary supplies and logistics in order for them to continue their battle against the pro-government forces,” the sources went on to say.

“Necessary supplies like the US-manufactured TOW anti-tank missiles are supplied to the Al-Qaeda groups, including the al-Nusra Front, through the Free Syrian Army,” they added.

Earlier this month, pro-government troops in Syria discovered weapons, munitions and food parcels in recently-captured territories in Lattakia province that were supplied by Qatar to the terrorist groups.

Syrian army sources said that a large volume of ammunition, including tens of mortar shells, that had been supplied by Qatar to the terrorist groups in the region were founded in the positions of the militant groups after the Syrian army pushed them back from their strongholds in the Northern part of Lattakia province.

The government troops also found food parcels along with the weapons and munitions supplied to the terrorist groups that carry labels reading: “A Gift of Qatar’s Government” in Arabic and “State of Qatar” in English.

Also in December, The Syrian Army and popular forces discovered military equipment and supplies in the newly-captured territories in Lattakia province that were supplied by Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to the terrorist groups.

Syrian army sources said that a large volume of military hardware and food parcels that were supplied by Saudi Arabia and the UAE were found in the positions of the militant groups after the Syrian army pushed them back from their strongholds in the villages of Akko and Bouz al-Kherba in the Northern part of Lattakia province.

The government forces also seized missile launching pads, various types of weapons and a field hospital in the captured villages.
