The sources said that the “moderate terrorist” groups have not found any safe place to regroup their forces after the Syrian army, popular forces and Hezbollah fighters launched their join massive operations to route out militancy in the coastal province.
The sources announced earlier today that the Syrian army alongside the country’s National Defense Forces (NDF) continued pushing back the militant groups in Lattakia province and restored full security to at least five more key regions in the Northern part of the coastal province.
The pro-government forces hit hard the militant groups in Por Abdullah region, Ketf al-Hareek , the fifth and sixth hills and Ketf al-Safeh and forced them to retreat the fighting areas after leaving behind scores of dead members.
On Tuesday, the Syrian army, backed by the NDF fighters, captured a hill and more heights in Lattakia as the army’s march on terrorists’ positions in the coastal province is gathering pace. The Syrian forces regained control of al-Sheikh Mohammed hill and the 1281 R5 height in the Northeastern countryside of Lattakia.
The Syrian airstrikes hit a convoy of terrorists’ vehicles and Takfiris’ supply routes in Enjara and Daret Ezza in Aleppo, destroying tens of the militant’s vehicles.
Meanwhile, terrorist groups acknowledged on their social media pages the death of a large group of their members, including Abad al-Aziz Hilal, in military operations in Aleppo province.
Also on Wednesday, one of the terrorist groups was forced to withdraw from the battle with the Syrian army in the countryside of Aleppo as the terrorists continue to suffer heavy losses throughout the Northern province. The Syrian army’s 103rd Brigade of the Republican Guard, backed by the National Defense Forces (NDF) of Qurdaha, the Syrian Social Nationalist Party (SSNP), and Muqawama Souri (Syrian Resistance), launched a large-scale offensive in the al-Nuba Mountains (Jabal Al-Nuba) and the village of Burj Al-Qusib, targeting al-Nusra Front and the Free Syrian Army’s (FSA) “1st Coastal Brigade” at the Southern perimeter of these sites.
According to a military source in the city of Slunfeh, the Syrian army’s 103rd Brigade and their allies have shifted their focus to Jabal Al-Akrad (Kurdish Mountains) after spending the last 72 hours at the Jubb Al-Ahmar and Jabal Al-Turkmen (Turkmen Mountains) fronts in Northern Lattakia.
The military source further added that the Syrian army’s 103rd Brigade and their allies are attacking the Southern part of Kabani in the Jubb Al-Ahmar area after they captured Point 1154 from Nusra, Harakat Ahrar Al-Sham, and the FSA’s “Liwaa Suqour Al-Ghaab” yesterday.
Since the inception of this wide-scale Lattakia offensive, the Syrian Armed Forces have captured several hundred kilometers of territory from the terrorist groups, including the strategic towns of Ghamam, Katf Ghanimah, Jubb Al-Ahmar, and Deir Hanna.
The end goal of this large-scale offensive in Northern Lattakia is to recapture the Turkish border-crossing in the Turkmen Mountains that has been under the control of the Islamist rebels since the summer of 2012.
The Russian and Syrian airstrikes hit the Takfiri militants’ positions in the Southern countryside of Aleppo, the Arabic-language al-Mayadeen television said.
There were no immediate reports of possible casualties among the terrorists.
Also on Wednesday, sources said the Syrian Army and its allies have significantly advanced against the ISIL militants in the Eastern part of Aleppo province and have won back the important Humaymah hilltop.
The sources said that the Syria army, the country’s National Defense Forces (NDF) and the Lebanese Hezbollah fighters continued their joint anti-terrorism operation near the town of Humaymah al-Kabeera, and seized control over the strategic Tal Humaymah after fierce clashes with the Takfiri terrorists.
The sources further added that after recapturing of Tal Humaymah, the pro-government forces are now in a good position to strike the Western sector of the town that is currently under the control of the ISIL.
Humaymah al-Kabeera is strategically located to the East of the Kuweires Military Airport and to the West of the ISIL stronghold of Deir Hafer.
The Aleppo-Raqqa highway is passing through the middle of Humaymah al-Kabeera town.

On Tuesday, the Syrian Army’s mop-up operations in areas to the East of the recently-recaptured Marj al-Sultan airbase in Damascus province, left nearly 27 militants dead or wounded.
The Army stormed the remaining members of the al-Nusra Front, so-called Jeish al-Islam and Ajnad al-Sham near the airbase and Marj al-Sultan village’s farms in the early hours of Tuesday morning, and killed or wounded scores of them. The pro-government forces, meantime, destroyed a large number of the militants’ military hardware.
On Tuesday, the army targeted a gathering of vehicles in the vicinity of Binin village in Jabal al-Zawieh, destroying and damaging a large group of the vehicles and killing scores of militants.
Local sources said booms were heard in Idlib city as a BMP vehicle, an armored vehicle and three cars of terrorists were destroyed and amounts of ammunition exploded. On Monday, some 12 Takfiri militants were killed in military operations in the province of Idlib.
The army targeted terrorists’ positions in al-Hamdiyeh village in the Southern countryside of Idlib, and destroyed 2 vehicles and killed 7 terrorists, including Muhanna Bilal.
Meanwhile, the army killed at least 5 terrorists of the so-called Jund al-Aqsa terrorist group.
Also on Monday, at least 15 militants of the al-Nusra Front, including two field commanders, were killed in the Syrian fighter jets’ attack on their position in the province of Idlib.
Younes al-Ansari and Ahmad al-Nabo were killed in the Syrian airstrike on their concentration center near the town of Al-Tamanah. The Nusra military site also sustained heavy damage.
