Syrian Army Fends Off FSA Attack in Sheikh Meskeen, Kills over 24 “Moderate” Terrorists
TEHRAN (FNA ) – The Syrian Army troops repelled an offensive of the so-called Free Syrian Army (FSA) on their positions near the town of Sheikh Meskeen in Dara’a province and killed at least 24 militants, provincial sources said Friday.

The sources said that the FSA’s “Al-Khalifa’ Al-Rashideen Battalion” of 1st Brigade launched a large-scale assault near Sheikh Meskeen in order force the Syrian army’s 5th Armored Division to exit the Western district of the town, but the Syrian army’s 15th Brigade of the 5th Armored Division encroached enemy combatants with a powerful blow that forced the aforementioned group to retreat towards the Eastern district in order to evade the Syrian Armed Forces and the swarming helicopter gunships from the Syrian Air Force.

 

 

According to a battlefield report from the city of Izra’a, the 15th Brigade was able to forestall any advance from the FSA and they reportedly killed between 24-30 enemy combatants in the process of clearing the area.

On Wednesday, the Syrian Army, popular forces and Hezbollah fighters broke through the defense lines of the militant groups at the entrance of Sheikh Meskeen and deployed their units in the town.

The sources said that the pro-government forces’ joint massive operation in the Northern part of Dara’a province, which was launched in the early hours of Wednesday, brought about significant victories against the militant groups in the strategic town of Sheikh Meskeen.

The sources further added that the Syrian forces and their allies’ rapid advance towards different districts of the town surprised the militants.

Long Convoy of ISIL Vehicles Destroyed in Syrian Army Attack in Homs
TEHRAN (FNA)- The Syrian Army traced and targeted a long military column of ISIL terrorists near Maheen in the Central Homs province, inflicting heavy losses on them. The ISIL militants suffered heavy death toll and their military vehicles, loaded with weapons and ammunition, were destroyed in the army attack.

The Syrian army and National Defense Forces made a rapid advance inside the strategic town of Maheen in Homs province hours after they entered the town on Thursday, locals said, adding that ISIL sent hundreds of fresh troops to the town after sustaining a heavy defeat.

The Syrian forces also killed and injured a large number of Takfiri terrorists in the military operations, while later reports said ISIL was determined to repel the Syrian forces’ assaults and sent reinforcements several hours after the attack to help to push back the Syrian army and its allies.

Hundreds of ISIL terrorists escaped Maheen after the Syrian army and National Defense Forces entered the strategic town after weeks of fierce clashes with the Takfiri terrorists.

 

 

Nusra Militants Sustain Heavy Losses in Syrian Artillery Shelling in Dara’a al-Balad
TEHRAN (FNA)- The Syrian Army’s artillery units shelled heavily al-Nusra Front’s strongholds in Dara’a al-Balad South of Dara’a city.

The Syrian army artillery’s shelling killed dozens of terrorists of the al-Qaeda-affiliated Nusra Front in Dara’a al-Balad to the South of Zenobia School to the West of al-Abbasyia Bakery.

Nusra Front’s military hardware also was destroyed in the attack.

 

 

On Thursday, the Syrian army intensified operations against the Takfiri militants in the province of Dara’a, engaging in heavy clashes with the terrorists in various locations.

The Syrian troops targeted militants’ positions in the town of Sheikh Meskeen, Atman and Muzayrib towns in Dara’a countryside. There were no immediate reports of possible casualties among the terrorists.

Syrian Forces Confront ISIL Terrorists across Sweida Province
TEHRAN (FNA)- The Syrian Army alongside the country’s popular forces engaged in heavy clashes with the ISIL terrorists in Khirbet Sa’ad, Haqaf and al-Qasir villages across the Southern province of Sweida, sources announced on Friday.

The sources said that the Syrian soldiers stormed the ISIL positions in the Northeastern countryside of Sweida province near Khirbet Sa’ad village and hill, killed dozens of them and destroyed their defense lines.

Meanwhile, the army, in cooperation with the popular defense groups, foiled an attack by the ISIL terrorists who infiltrated from al-Qasir village to the surroundings of al-Haqaf village on the outskirts of al-Badiya desert.

 

 

On Tuesday, the Syrian army resumed fresh round of its mop-up operations against the Takfiri militants in Sweida, destroying their positions and leaving a large group of them dead.

The Syrian troops destroyed terrorists’ concentration centers, arms and ammunition in Khirbet Samar village in the Southwestern countryside of Sweida.

Russian Air Force Destroys ISIL Media Center, Munitions Depot North of Syria’s Aleppo
TEHRAN (FNA)- The Russian fighter jets targeted the ISIL terrorists’ media center and a large depot of their weapons and ammunition in the Northern part of Aleppo province in heavy bomb and missile attacks, military sources said on Friday.

The sources said that the main ISIL media center that operates out of the Northern city of Manbij was reportedly destroyed by the Russian Air Force on Thursday.

The Russian Air Force has done more damage to the ISIL sites than any other air force in the last three years.

 

 

The Russian Air Force also destroyed the terrorist group’s large weapons depot near the media center.

Without an intermediary to organize reinforcements and deliver messages, the terrorist group is uncharacteristically silent, thanks in large part to the Russian Air Force precise airstrikes in both Northern Aleppo and the provincial capital of Raqqa province.

On Thursday, the Syrian warplanes intensified their air raids on terrorists’ positions in Aleppo province as the army continues to tighten noose on the foreign-backed militants in the province.

The Syrian airstrikes hit militants’ positions in the Journalists’ Association in the Western countryside of Aleppo.

The Syrian army also clashed with the Takfiri militants’ in the vicinity of Khan Touman town in the Southern countryside of Aleppo.

Syrian Ground, Air Forces Repel ISIL Offensive in Deir Ezzur Airbase
TEHRAN (FNA)- The Syrian Army and the country’s fighter jets, in a joint counter-assault on Friday, fended off the ISIL terrorists’ attack on the strategic Deir Ezzur airbase, leaving at least 25 militants dead or many more wounded.

The Syrian war plane targeted the ISIL combatants’ military vehicles near Deir Ezzur airbase this morning and played key role in pushing them back from the surroundings of the airbase.

The airbase defenders, for their part, carried out a rapid counter-attack after the Syrian fighter jets pounded the ISIL military column, and killed nearly 25 militants.

 

 

The pro-government forces also retook control over more areas after their successful counter-attack near Deir Ezzur airbase. On Wednesday, the Syrian fighter jets bombed strongholds of the Takfiri terrorists in the provinces of Deir Ezzur and Aleppo, inflicting heavy losses on them.

The Syrian airstrikes destroyed concentration centers of Takfiri terrorists in the villages of Hamima, Tal Ahmar, Akwla, Rasm al-Abad, Khan al-Assal, Kafr Hamra and al-Hawika on the outskirts of Aleppo and Deir Ezzur.

The terrorists reportedly suffered heavy losses in the air attacks.

In a relevant development on Thursday, the Russian fighter jets bombed several positions of terrorists of al-Nusra Front in the Southern countryside of Damascus, inflicting heavy losses on them.

The air raids destroyed positions of al-Nusra Front terrorists in Khan al-Shih town in the Southern countryside of Damascus, killing a group of Takfiri militants.

Meanwhile, clashes erupted between the Syrian army and the foreign-backed Takfiri militants in Jobar district near the capital, Damascus.

The Syrian forces also fired artillery shells at the terrorists’ positions in Jobar in Eastern Damascus.

Also, the Russian fighter jets bombed several positions of terrorists of al-Nusra Front in the Southern countryside of Damascus, inflicting heavy losses on them.

Raqqa

The top leaders and commanders of the ISIL terrorist group were seen by locals and citizens to be escaping from the Syrian city of Raqqa after sustaining heavy casualties in the Russian airstrikes and long-range cruise missile attacks from its Mediterranean fleet.

Intelligence sources confirmed citizens’ reports that militants’ leaders were fleeing the so-called capital of the ISIL terrorist group after hundreds of ISIL members escaped the city on Wednesday to save their lives.

Various sources from citizens of Raqqa to local villagers and intelligence sources have reported in the last 24 hours that the terrorist group has started hasty evacuation of Raqqa after the Russian strikers and long-range bombers intensifying airstrikes on the strongholds and command centers of the ISIL militants in Raqqa in recent days.

The Russian military has also been pounding the ISIL stronghold in Raqqa with cruise missiles fired from the Mediterranean Sea since Tuesday.

Hama

The Syrian army targeted terrorists’ concentration centers in the towns of Al-Lataminah and Morek and the village of Maarkaba in Hama countryside, according to the Arabic-language al-Alam news channel.

Dara’a

The Syrian troops also targeted militants’ positions in the town of Sheikh Maskeen, Attman town and Muzayrib town in Dara’a countryside.

There were no immediate reports of possible casualties among the terrorists.

Homs

The Syrian forces also clashed with the terrorists in Talbiseh town and its vicinity in the Northern countryside of Homs, and killed and injured a large group of terrorists.

Several terrorists were also killed and injured in military operations on their positions in al-Waer district in Homs city.

Meantime, the Syrian army and National Defense Forces were rapidly advancing inside the strategic town of Maheen in Homs province hours after they entered the town on Thursday, locals said, adding that ISIL has sent hundreds of fresh troops to the town after sustaining a heavy defeat.

The Syrian forces also killed and injured a large number of Takfiri terrorists in the military operations.

Meantime, the Syrian army, backed by the Lebanese Hezbollah fighters and the National Defense Forces, seized back the al-Dawa region in the city of Palmyra in Homs province.

The Syrian forces launched a large-scale attack on ISIL positions in Al-Dawa, killing over 20 militants and destroying the terrorists’ primary weapons hub in Western Palmyra.

Later, the forces managed to take full control over the Al-Dawa region in Western Palmyra.

Aleppo

The Syrian warplanes intensified their air raids on terrorists’ positions in Aleppo province on Thursday as the army continues to tighten noose on the foreign-backed militants in the province.

The Syrian airstrikes hit militants’ positions in the Journalists’ Association in the Western countryside of Aleppo.

The Syrian army also clashed with the Takfiri militants’ in the vicinity of Khan Touman town in the Southern countryside of Aleppo.

The Syrian army, backed by the Lebanese Hezbollah fighters and the National Defense Forces, recaptured the villages of Umm Zilaylah, Tal Ayyoub and Umm Al-Marra in Aleppo province.

The Syrian army and its allies managed to retake the three villages located North of Jabboul Lake in Aleppo province after they launched a powerful attack on the villages and destroyed ISIL positions.

Scores of Takfiri terrorists were killed in the military operations.

 

 

Lattakia

The Syrian army made great progress in Jabal Zahi (Zahi Mountain) in the Northern countryside of Lattakia after fierce clashes with the Takfiri militants.

The Syrian army troops and the NDF fighters, in a joint operation, stormed the strongholds of the al-Qaeda-affiliated al-Nusra Front and forced them to retreat from Doreen and its surrounding heights known as al-Jalil, the sources said.

Scores of Nusra militants were killed in the pro-government forces’ operation.

 

 

The sources confirmed that the popular forces played a significant role in the liberation of Doreen.

Over 30 Militants Killed in Syrian Army Operation in Idlib’s Saraqib
TEHRAN (FNA)- The General Staff of the Syrian Army announced on Friday that nearly 33 terrorists of the so-called Jeish al-Islam group were killed by the Army’s Special Forces near the Northwestern city of Saraqib.

The sources said that in addition to the militants’ heavy death toll, many of their military vehicles were destroyed in the Syrian army soldiers’ offensive.

 

 

On Wednesday, the Syrian air force intensified its airstrikes on terrorists’ concentration centers in the provinces of Idlib and destroyed positions of the terrorists in Saraqib city and al-Sheikh Yusuf in Idlib countryside.
