An informed source revealed that Abdullah Mehesni, a Saudi citizen way up the chain of command of the Takfiri terorist group, was captured alive after the Syrian forces fired a missile at his car and as he was driving.
The Syrian army along with Hezbollah fighters and the National Defense Forces (NDF), and backed up by Syrian-Russian Air Forces, have been marching on militant group’s positions in Aleppo province in recent weeks.
According to the latest reports, government forces and their allies have gained back almost 410 square kilometers of Aleppo’s territories since the start of their massive operations early in October, killed hundreds of Takfiri terrorists and destroyed tens of militants’ strongholds and depots, a large number of military vehicles, weapons and military equipment.
Three Russian helicopters flew over Lebanon’s Northern border with Syria on Sunday.
The National News Agency said that residents of the Wadi Khaled area of Akkar spotted three Russian helicopters hovering over the border around 3:30 pm.
The Russian airstrikes bombed terrorists’ positions in the rugged areas of Qara in Syria’s Qalamoun and the area separating the Lebanese border town of Al-Qaa from the Syrian territories.
The NNA also said the sound of strong explosions reverberated across the northern Bekaa, noting that they were the result of Russian airstrikes.
Russia has been conducting precision airstrikes against terrorist positions in Syria at the request of Syrian President Bashar Assad since September 30.
Field sources said the army destroyed fortified positions of Jeish al-Fateh terrorists in Attshan village to the North of Hama city, killing 10 terrorists. Firas al-Saleh, a leader of al-Nusra Front terrorist group, was identified among the dead.
The army troops also conducted military operations against the positions of the al-Nusra Front, Jund al-Aqsa and Ahrar al-Sham Islamic Movement terrorist groups, killing 32 terrorists, including Ahmad Khaled al-Bakri.
The troops also destroyed one of the militants’ positions, two armored vehicles and 5 vehicles transporting weapons and ammunition.
Meanwhile, the Syrian forces targeted positions of the “Ajnad al-Sham” terrorist group in Kafr Zita village, Northwest of Hama city, killing 9 terrorists and injuring 5 others.
Ahmad al-Zalf, Mohamed al-Nakar and Ahmad Abad al-Aziz al-Mahmoud were identified among the dead terrorists.
The pro-government forces stormed concentration centers of the militant groups in the countryside of Douma and recaptured Tal Kurdi, which was used by the terrorists as a start line of their logistic convoys to drive on the Damascus-Homs highway.
Scores of the terrorists were killed in the army attack and the highway is now under full fire-control of the Syrian mortar units.
Sources said on Saturday that the Syrian army is running military operations to secure the Damascus-Homs international road near the suburb of al-Assad.
The army troops reportedly took two buildings on the international road from the Takfiri militants.
Score of terrorists were killed in the military operations.
The ISIL militants’ military grid sustained serious damage from 50 up to 100 percent in the Syrian air fleet’s attack on their positions.
This morning air attacks also left tens of ISIL terrorists dead or wounded.
Sources said earlier today that Syrian Army alongside National Defense Forces (NDF) regained Tal Kurdi village near Douma from the militant groups and brought the Damascus-Homs Highway under their fire-control.
The pro-government forces stormed concentration centers of the militant groups in the countryside of Douma and recaptured Tal Kurdi, which was used by the terrorists as a start line of their logistic convoys to drive on the Damascus-Homs highway.

The army destroyed ISIL positions in Khirbet Sa’d village and al-Ghabeb valley in the Northeastern countryside of Sweida. The ISIL terrorists reportedly suffered heavy losses in the attacks. There were no more details available.
Earlier, the Syrian army targeted and destroyed a convoy of vehicles of the ISIL militants in the province of Sweida on Monday.
The ISIL’s convoy came under the army unit’s attack in the Eastern parts of Tal Shaaf in the Southeastern countryside of the Sweida province.
The army troops destroyed the ISIL tunnel in al-Sina’a neighborhood, Southeast of Deir Ezzur city, killing a large group of terrorists on Sunday.
A large volume of weapons and equipment were also destroyed.
Reports said on Saturday that the Syrian air force destroyed the Takfiri terrorists’ positions in several key regions in the province of Deir Ezzur, inflicting heavy losses on the militants.
The Syrian fighter jets hit ISIL’s strongholds in al-Hattla, al-Mre’eya and al-Jafra regions in Eastern Deir Ezzur, and razed down most of them.
Tens of terrorists were killed and dozens more were injured in the bombardments.
In similar airstrikes earlier on Saturday, Syrian warplanes targeted the ISIL position in Hatla town in Deir Ezzur countryside, and killed at least 63 Takfiri terrorists.
The Syrian army troops targeted concentration centers of the militants in al-Ramouseh, al-Sheikh Saeed, Old Aleppo, Bustan al-Basha, Maisaloun, Bani Zaid, al-Lairamoun and al-Rashedin neighborhoods, killed dozens of them and destroyed their military grid.
Sources said earlier today that the militants’ defense lines in the Northwestern part of Aleppo have been under joint heavy attacks of the Syrian Army and Hezbollah fighters in recent days, pinning down the terrorists and killing or wounding scores of them.
Takfiri terrorists suffered heavy death toll after the Syrian army alongside Hezbollah fighters stormed their positions near Bashkoy and Tal Mseibin towns and the villages of Sifat Dweir al-Zaitoun and Kafr Hamra.
The Syrian army and the National Defense Forces (NDF) continued pounding Nusra positions near al-Mansoura village in West of Aleppo and al-Nairab region in Southeast of Aleppo, in which tens of the Takfiri terrorists were killed and their military equipment was destroyed.
Sources said on Sunday that a long convoy of ISIL’s vehicles with at least 20 military vans was traced and targeted by the Syrian Army on a local road in the Northwestern countryside of Aleppo.
The ISIL convoy, loaded with weapons and ammunition, came under the army attack on the axis of Reytan towards Bashkoy, where most of the militants’ vehicles were completely destroyed and their guard were killed or wounded too.
The air raids hit the militants’ positions in Bashkoy, al-Mansourah, Sharbaa, Eran, Rabiaa and al-Zweik, informed sources said in the countryside of Aleppo and Lattakia.
There were no immediate reports of possible casualties among the terrorists.
Battlefield reports from Western and Southwestern Aleppo province said terrorists have sustained heavy casualties in the Syrian army and popular forces’ continued operations against the al-Nusra Front’s concentration centers on Monday.
The Syrian army and the National Defense Forces (NDF) continued pounding Nusra positions near al-Mansoura village in West of Aleppo and al-Nairab region in Southeast of Aleppo, in which tens of the Takfiri terrorists were killed and their military equipment was destroyed.
The army killed all members of a terrorist group and destroyed their car to the South of Syriatel Building in Dara’a.
The Syrian troops also destroyed a Takfiris position to the East of the National Hospital in Dara’a al-Balad area.
Earlier reports said the Syrian forces in the province of Daraa launched massive operations against the terrorists’ hideouts, arms cache and vehicles, destroying them completely.
The Syrian army destroyed several vehicles of the terrorists while targeting their gatherings and movements in al-Gizlan farm and al-Ghariyeh al-Sharqiyeh village in the Northeastern parts of Dara’a province on Monday.
Another army unit carried out operations against terrorists’ hideouts and gatherings in separate areas in Dara’a al-Balad neighborhood, where their weapons and ammunition were destroyed.
The militant position near the villages of al-Dughmishlyia and Beit Ayyash were heavily bombed by the Russian fighter jets and choppers since this morning, which pave the groups for the army and NDF to push back the terrorists and regain control over the villages.
A large number of the militants were killed or wounded in the fighting areas and the terrorist groups retreat the remaining of their forces to evade more casualties.
Sources said earlier today that the Syrian Army and popular forces continued to push back the terrorist groups from the Northern parts of Lattakia and entered the strategic village of Deir Hanna.
The pro-government forces, after fierce clashes with the militant groups and breaking through their defense lines this morning, entered Deir Hanna.
The militant groups reportedly suffered heavy death toll in the Syrian forces’ operation and retreated the remaining of forces from the battlefront.
In the meantime, a wide-scale assault of the Takfiri terrorists on the government forces’ positions near Ghamam town in Lattakia province was repelled by the Syrian soldiers, in which tens of the militants were killed or wounded.
The sources said that concentration centers of the ISIL in Deir Hafer, Shweilekh, Rasm al-Abd, Sharbaa, Kaskiss and Hmeimiyeh came under attacks of the Syrian army and its allies from the National Defense Forces and Hezbollah, whose joint operation ended in the killing or wounding of many militants.
