Syrian Army, Russian Air Force Preparing for Joint Liberation Operation in Palmyra

 TEHRAN (FNA)- An intelligence source disclosed on Wednesday that the Syrian Army, popular force and the Russian Air Force are coordinating to launch a joint massive operation to win back militant-held Palmyra city in the Central Homs province.

The commander of the Syrian ground force, National Defense Forces (NDF) and the Russian air force are reviewing the last steps of their joint operation to recapture the ancient city of Palmyra from the ISIL terrorists.

Last week, scores of the ISIL terrorists were killed or wounded after their hideouts in al-Bayaraat near the ancient city of Palmyra were massively targeted by the Syrian forces.

The army sources said that the ISIL positions in al-Bayaraat in the Central Homs province were pounded in the Syrian army’s attack, destruction of all infrastructure of the militant site was also reported.


Syrian Army Wins Back Salamiyah-Raqqa Highway with Russia Aerial Backup
 TEHRAN (FNA)- The Syrian Armed Force, with the aerial backup of the Russian fighter jets, pushed back militants from Salamiyah-Raqqa highway in Hama province, and retook full control over the strategic route, local sources announced on Wednesday.

The sources said that the Russian warplanes carried out several sorties over the militants’ positions near the Salamiyah-Raqqa highway and hit them hard with their bombs and missiles, later the Syrian soldiers stormed the terrorist groups’ defense lines to take control over the highway.

The Syrian army troops seized back the highway after fierce clashes with the Takfiri terrorists.

Salamiyah is a city and district in Western Syria, in the Hama province. It is located 33 km Southeast of Hama, 45 km Northeast of Homs.

On Tuesday, Syrian air raids killed a large group of terrorists in the countryside of Hama province.

Syrian fighter jets destroyed a number of terrorists’ vehicles, and killed a large number of terrorists in the East of Ithriyah and South of Tabaret al-Sakhane in the countryside of ‎Hama.

The Syrian army continued its mop-up operations against the Takfiri militants in Hama province, and regained full control over Ithriyah-Sabourah Road.

The Syrian army attacked Al-Bashiri Farms, Ithriyah Checkpoint and the Majabel Checkpoint near the town of Ithriyah, killing tens of militants. The army also took full control over Ithriyah-Sabourah Road.

Syrian forces launched counter-assault to take back their checkpoints from the terrorists along the Salamiyah-Raqqa Highway and the Khanasser-Aleppo Highway.


Scores of Terrorists Killed after Defeat in Counter-offensive on Syrian Army in Aleppo

 TEHRAN (FNA)- The Syrian army troops thwarted an ISIL attack in Southeastern Aleppo province, leaving Dozens of terrorists dead.

ISIL terrorists, most of them foreign militants, infiltrated into Um al-Janayen village and the farms surrounding al-Sfeira city in Southeastern Aleppo in an attempt to capture it, field sources said, adding the army managed to repel the attack and killed dozens of them.

Several terrorists’ tanks and vehicles were also destroyed.

The sources said “the terrorists were carrying cameras and communications devices to communicate with the tendentious TV channels”, which claimed that the terrorists captured al-Sfeira city.

Earlier reports said the Syrian forces, backed by the country’s warplanes, thwarted an ISIL attack in Aleppo province, leaving scores of terrorists dead.

The army and the National Defense Forces, backed by the Syrian airstrikes, repelled ISIL attack on Jabboul village in Aleppo, and killed scores of Takfiri terrorists, reports said Wednesday.


ISIL Militants Sustain Heavy Losses in Clashes with Army near Syria’s Aleppo

 TEHRAN (FNA)- Fierce clashes resumed between the ISIL terrorists and the Syrian forces near Air Force Academy and al-Sfeira in Aleppo countryside that resulted in the killing and wounding of a large group of militants, field sources said on Wednesday.

The sources said that the Syrian army repelled the ISIL attack near Air Force Academy and killed tens of the terrorists in its counter-attack.

Meantime, the Eastern parts of al-Sfeira witnesses the army’s crucial operation against the ISIL, whose members left behind dozens of dead and wounded comrades and retreated from the battlefront.

On Wednesday, the Syrian army launched another phase of its crucial operations to tighten noose around the Takfiri militants in Aleppo province, inflicting heavy losses on the militants in the early hours of the new round of fighting.

The army targeted terrorist positions in the neighborhoods of Salah Eddin, al-Lairamoun and al-Azamiyeh in Aleppo city.

The army also targeted terrorists from al-Nusra Front and the so-called “Ahrar al-Sham Islamic Movement” and “Nour Eddin al-Zanki Movement” in Khan al-Assal and near Bashkoui village in Northwestern Aleppo, destroying a number of their vehicles, some equipped with machineguns.

At Least 9 Terrorists, A Top Commander Killed in Hama

 TEHRAN (FNA)- The Syrian army intensified its mop-up operations in the province of Hama on Wednesday, killing at least 10 terrorists, including a senior commander.

The army conducted a military operation against a hideout of terrorists from the so-called “Ajnad al-Sham Islamic Union” in al-Latamneh town to the North of Hama city, killing at least 5 terrorists, including the terrorist ringleader, Akram Ali al-Mahmoud.

Meanwhile, the army destroyed a hideout of al-Nusra Front terrorists in al-Hbeit village on the border between Idlib and Hama, killing all the terrorists who were inside it. An armored vehicle was also destroyed.

Separately, the army targeted concentration centers of terrorists from the so-called “Jaish al-Islam” in the farms between al-Latamneh and Maarkaba village, killing several Takfiri militants.

Abu Abdo al-Hamwi, Abu Samer al-Hamwi, Yousef Abdo, Abu Saeed al-Hamwi and Adu al-Darda’ al-Hamwi were identified among the dead terrorists.

Also on Wednesday, field sources announced that the Syrian warplanes carried out many sorties over the gathering centers of the ISIL militants in the Eastern parts of Hama province.


Syrian Army Wins Battle against Terrorists in Sweida Countryside

 TEHRAN (FNA)- The Syrian army launched a fresh round of operation against the militant centers in Tal Asheihib al-Shamali in the Southern province of Sweida, pushing them back form their defense lines, provincial officials said on Wednesday.

The sources said that dozens of militants were killed and their military equipment and vehicles were exploded in the army’s offensive on their camp.

On Sunday, the Syrian army, backed by the popular defense groups, conducted military operations against ISIL positions in Sweida province, leaving a large group of the terrorists dead.

The army targeted ISIL positions in Khirbet Sada in the Northeastern countryside of Sweida, killing a large group of terrorists and destroying their weapons and ammunition.
