There is little question anymore about America’s complicity in founding ISIS, funding al Qaeda and pushing this regional war to its current level, spanning two continents.  More than simply Iran and Russia were targeted.  America was blocking Chinese economic expansionism too and has violated nearly every international law in the process including staging terror attacks on the United States itself on 9/11 to pull it off.
While the drone war documents expose America as a nation of butchers and assassins, others are fighting the war America started.  The enemy here, shamefully enough, is America and NATO aided by a cabal of criminal states, Israel, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain among others.   This is only the Syria War, please remember that this is one of many America is involved in.
