LOS ANGELES — A recently released 11-minute documentary film produced by an Iraqi War Marine Combat Veteran offers a revealing and shameful history of the massive land-fraud scandal at the most corrupt VA in the nation that exiled thousands of war-injured Veterans and forces them to live homeless and hungry in Skid Row and back-alley squalor while wealthy non-Veteran special interest groups have taken over.

This tell-all film chronicles the unwavering mission of the Old Veterans Guard to expose the serious breach of trust by the VA to honor the legal Deed of 1888 and permanently maintain this land as a National Home for disabled and disadvantaged Veterans, but instead cuts illegal back-room real estate deals with rich and powerful cronies.

The film was documented and produced by Michael Woolston, a senior in the Cinematic Arts program at USC who served in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves as a Scout/Sniper from 2005-2012. Sergeant Woolston served in combat during Operation Iraqi Freedom in Ramadi as well as well as operations in Eastern Europe.

Contrary to the irresponsibility of VA Secretary Robert A. McDonald and his homeless czar, Vince Kane, Los Angeles is in a very serious “state of emergency” for homeless Veterans and on September 24th, “We the People,” are holding a Town Hall Meeting at downtown Skid Row and will do what government has failed to do and that is we’re going into the highest densely population of homelessness anywhere in the USA and conducting a “search and rescue” crusade to find as many dispossessed Veterans as possible and bus them to the Los Angeles VA for humanitarian housing and care.

While Los Angeles City officials are cooperating and participating, Secretary McDonald and homeless expert Vince Kane have refused to respond or offer any assistance whatsoever to provide emergency beds, meals and care for the incoming war-injured and impoverished homeless Veterans, many who are aged, frail and in failing health, including female Veterans.

In this documentary film, Carolina Winston Barrie, a distant relative of one of the deeded land donors, explains that in 1922 there were 4,000 hot meals a day provided for Veterans at the Home, while today the VA Secretary, a close friend of Mrs. Barrie, refuses to offer one hot meal for the masses of incoming Skid Row Veterans in addition to refusing to provide them with emergency beds and healthcare on the VA grounds.

Mrs. Barrie also proclaims that all nine holders of illegal sharing agreements need to be removed from the VA property, but her good friend Secretary McDonald disagrees.

September 24th is a day of reckoning for VA Secretary McDonald as he must evict all illegal occupants on this land and provide emergency humanitarian housing, hot meals and proper healthcare for the multitude of homeless Veterans who have been forced to live in this disgusting hell-hole called Skid Row.

Otherwise, Secretary McDonald will continue to immorally and illegally breach his entrusted duty to house and care for destitute war-injured Veterans, but instead will continue cutting more illegal real estate deals that enrich his wealthy non-Veteran friends that compounds this land-fraud scandal and prolongs his immoral and inhumane treatment of thousands upon thousands of disabled and disadvantaged Veterans.

The upcoming Town Hall meeting and “search and rescue” crusade are a consortium of the Los Angeles Neighborhood Council Coalition, Downtown Los Angeles Neighborhood Council, Vietnam Veterans of America-Region 9, Justiceville USA, and the Old Veterans Guard.

Please join in this historic and honorable mission to house and care for as many homeless Veterans as possible in the shortest amount of time – NOW — not a year from now.

God Bless America and the Veterans Revolution!
