The terrorists were killed in the town of Qaryatayn while their vehicles and military equipment were destroyed by the Syrian airstrikes.
Qaryatayn is located at a strategic crossroad between northern and southern Syria.
On Thursday, the Daesh militant group abducted 230 civilians, including at least 60 Christians, in Qaryatayn just hours after the Takfiri group captured the town.
Meanwhile, the so-called Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitoring group said clashes between Daesh terrorists and al-Qaeda-linked Nusra Front and allied militants have left at least 10 terrorists and 18 militants dead in the north of the country.
According to the London-based group, the terrorists are fighting over control of four villages in the Aleppo Province, which is located along the militants’ supply route coming from southern Turkey. It added that the fighting started on Saturday night.
Syria has been gripped in a deadly conflict since March 2011.
Washington and its regional allies, including Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Qatar, are widely believed to be supporting the militant groups in Syria.
According to reports, more than 240,000 Syrians have been killed and millions more displaced due to the four-year conflict in the misery-stricken Arab country.
The Syrian troops and the resistance forces pushed back a raid by the militants of the Free Syrian Army and the Islamic Front on the Aleppo Central Prison, and killed over 50 militants in heavy clashes which lasted for several hours.
The Aleppo Central Prison is located to the West of Sheikh Najar Industrial City and to the East of Seifat and Handarat regions and is on a crossroad linking the Eastern parts of the city of Aleppo to its Northwestern parts.
Meantime, the Syrian army also repelled militants’ attack on a strategic military airport in the Eastern countryside of the city of Aleppo.
The army units pushed back the ISIL militants’ offensive on Aleppo’s Kowaires Military Airport with artillery and heavy machinegun fire, and killed at least 60 Takfiri terrorists in heavy clashes.
The Syrian army captured Kowaires airport after it purged the terrorists from the nearby towns.
Aleppo is the largest city in Syria and serves as the capital of the Aleppo Governorate.
The ISIL terrorists have besieged the Kowaires airport for over 2.5 years now, but the airport itself is under the Syrian army’s control.
The Syrian army’s helicopters supply foodstuff and other needs to the Syrian troops defending the airport.
Since 2011, Syria has been faced massive insurgency created by the certain Western countries and their regional allies that staged a propagandistic war against Damascus.
The army units also took back al-Ashrafiye, Sleiman al-Halabi, and Bustan al-Basha in the city of Aleppo.

After receiving intelligence tips about the terrorists’ imminent attack on the town which is located in Aleppo province, the popular forces devised a series of plans and pushed back the militants from Nabl’s surrounding areas.
Reports said heavy clashes erupted between the popular forces and terrorists on a road linking Nabl to the nearby Mayer city.
Elsewhere, the Syrian army and the Hezbollah fighters attacked the Takfiri terrorist groups’ positions in the countryside of Idlib, Northwestern Syria, pushing back the militants from Sahl al-Qab region.
Meantime, the Syrian troops and resistance forces pushed back Al-Nusra Front and Jeish al-Fath terrorists from al-Zayareh and al-Mashik regions in Sahl al-Qab in the Southern parts of Idlib province.
The Syrian army and the Lebanese Hezbollah resistance forces continued their mop-up operations in the city of Zabadani on Sunday, and killed nearly a dozen terrorists in heavy clashes.
At least 10 terrorists were captured by the Syrian troops and the resistance forces in al-Mahata Square in the Eastern parts of Zabadani.
Also, the Syrian army troops continued their mop-up operations against the foreign-backed Takfiri militants in the coastal province of Lattakia.
The army destroyed a vehicle loaded with ammunition and shells’ depot belonging to the Takfiri terrorists in al-Rihaniya village in the Northern countryside of Lattakia.
The Syrian army troops and the Lebanese Hezbollah resistance forces advanced towards the center of al-Zabadani city and retook a number of buildings from the Takfiri militants.
The forces advanced towards the center of al-Zabadani city, and regained control over a number of buildings in the neighborhoods of al-Zahraa and al-Gharbia, inflicting heavy losses on the terrorists.
A number of terrorists were also killed and injured in Syrian air strikes against militants’ concentration centers in the villages of Kaniset al-Nakhleh and al-Sahen.
Meanwhile, Syrian air raids also hit positions of the Takfiri militants in the villages of Tal Salmo and al-Teraa in abu al-Duhour area, 50 km Southeast of Idlib. A group of terrorists were killed in the air strikes.
Syria has been grappling with a deadly crisis since March 2011. The violence fuelled by Takfiri groups has so far claimed the lives of over 230,000 people, according to reports. New figures show that over 76,000 people, including thousands of children, lost their lives in Syria last year.
The sources said that strongholds of the rebel groups in al-Ziyara, Zaizoun and al-Zyadia in the Northwestern side of Hama were massively bombed by the Syrian warplanes, which resulted in the killing or wounding of tens of terrorists.
The sources went on to say that in joint operations of the Syrian army and the country’s air force in al-Arbain village and South of Kafar Zita, and in Attshan village to the North of Hama city, a large depot of the rebels ammunitions and weapons were destroyed.
On Friday, military sources underlined that the Syrian army has successfully pushed back rebels from their positions in various parts of Hama province, and killed or wounded scores of them.
The sources said that Diqmaq, al-Rahjan, al-Hamediya, Qastoun and al-Bahsa have been the scene of heavy clashes between the Syrian army men and the militants, who left behind several killed members and retreat from the mentioned battlefronts.
