For most of us, living in a luxurious getaway in the middle of the Big Apple is a hopeless daydream, but some people are living the dream and living large in some of New York City’s most expensive real estate. Read on to see some of the most opulent houses, lofts, and apartments America has to offer and discover how you could get your hands on them. These are just a few of the most expensive New York City Real Estates

Townhouse with a Garden

Starting out in the “pocket change” category, there is a 7-story townhouse for sale on the Upper West Side for a mere $50 million. It was completely renovated in 1998 and now boasts 8 bedrooms, 14 bathrooms, and a rooftop garden.
Mandarin Penthouse
The penthouse on the top floors of the Mandarin Oriental hotel in Columbus Circle is also listed at a $50 million asking price, though it has been bouncing on and off the market for a few years now. This penthouse suite sprawls over 4,825 square feet of the hotels choicest real estate and includes a 30 foot gallery, wine cellar, and access to all of the hotels luxurious amenities. This one doesn’t appear to be going anywhere any time soon, so you’ll have plenty of time to save up!
15 Central Park West
At this address on the 35th floor lies a 5 bedroom luxury apartment, for sale by owner with an asking price of $95 million. It features stunning views of Central Park and is actually divided into two separate apartments, so that the next owner need not ever know when guests are staying over.
Midtown Condo
SAC Capital’s Steve A. Cohen put the 10,000 square foot duplex apartment up for sale for a cool $115 million. The condominium is situated on levels 51 and 52 of midtown’s Bloomberg Tower, also known as One Beacon Court.
Vincent Viola’s Mansion
The hockey star’s recently renovated manse could be yours today for the low, low price of 114 million dollars! It is richly decorated and includes multiple fireplaces, an indoor swimming pool, and a home movie theater complete with balcony.
Three Ritz-Carlton Penthouses
A package deal for three separate penthouse apartments in the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Battery Park comes with a $118.5 million price tag. If a buyer comes along, the three will be consolidated into one huge apartment with the potential for 12 or more bedrooms, 15 or more bathrooms, 20 foot ceilings, and at least three kitchens, according to representatives.
Pierre Penthouse
The penthouse at the distinctive apex of the Pierre hotel is now available for $125 million. The new owners will enjoy 5 bedrooms, six bathrooms, a private elevator, multiple terraces, 23 foot ceilings, and an opulent black marble staircase.
Any one of these lavish homes are available to the right buyer. From budget options in the modest $50 million price range, to true opulence costing upwards of $125 million, there is plenty of luxury to go around in the city that never sleeps- which is kind of a shame, really, when you have 8 bedrooms to spare.
