Ukraine – Next up on the Dismemberment List
…by Michael Shrimpton
[ Editors Note: The Ukraine story is moving like the Wild Coyote. We are just getting to Michael’s piece today, but today’s event have validated much of what you will read below.
It is sad portrayal of Western democracies who are only an empty shell of what they still teach school children.
The assault on the Ukraine has been going on for many years now as part of the warmonger crowd’s strategy of diverting public attention to an outside bogeyman, away from what their real national security threat was.
We are seeing now the result of the corrupt three way marriage between the elite political class, the banskters and military industrial complex, and the international crime organizations, who are major funders of political campaigns all over the world.
The Russians have been cool customers when it comes to Western provocations, as has Iran. To date they have not take any of the obvious bait. For example the Iranians did not respond to the killing of their nuclear scientists by the Israelis and NeoCon paramilitary elements. The knew exactly that was what the killings were for.
So one failed provocation is followed by another attempt…in Syria, another disaster…and now the West doubling down in the Ukraine with cannon fodder galore. Somebody wants a war very badly to be pushing this hard for it. And if it is your country, you better make time from your schedule to look into it as you are surely going to pay for it… Jim W. Dean ]

Some of this is going to be out of date by the time you read it. This column was sent in at 2400Z on 28FEB14.
The Government of the Russian Federation, very properly, has decided on military intervention in the Ukrainian crisis, prompted by the German-backed coup which removed the democratically elected Head of State, President Yanukovych.
At this time only limited military deployments are being reported, probably of Russia’s excellent and highly-trained Spetsnaz Special Forces, for whom I entertain considerable professional respect.
I think my distinguished VT colleague Colonel Khrushchev – you may know the name – shares my view. This uplifting news justifies writing this to the musical accompaniment of Mozart’s glorious Great Mass in C Minor (Köchel Number 427). At last the Good Guys are fighting back.
Russian reserves are almost certainly being mobilized and Russia’s armed forces are almost certainly on a higher state of alert. Poland’s forces are probably also going on some form of alert, although a German advance on the Ukraine via Krakow is not indicated at this time.
There are no signs of German mobilization, let alone a general mobilization and I have seen no reports of unusual German naval activity. Byelorussian forces have not been deployed to the Ukraine but are probably increasing their alert status.
If Russia’s Security Forces do go into action against the German-backed neo-fascist Ukrainian enemy all men and women of good will in Christendom, and in Israel, will wish them God Speed and good hunting. At this time however it looks like Russia has written off the western half of the Ukraine and has settled on a strategy of splitting the country into two.
That makes sense, and would avoid large-scale hostilities. It would also protect Russian citizens in the east and the Crimea, preserve Russia’s vital Black Sea naval bases, limit the blow to Russian prestige and should enable the Ukraine’s covert nuclear stockpile to be safeguarded. ‘Pooters’ – dear old President Putin – is handling this crisis very well, making David Cameron look like a headless chicken, no offense.
We don’t know how many nukes Ukraine hung onto. All we know is that there is a covert stockpile and that ‘Jerry’ wants them, as he’s running a bit low, thanks in part to Team Vulcan, Fukushima (the last successful German nuclear attack) and the CIA’s efficient trapping of Viktor Bout.
The Coup
The coup in Kiev was planned months ago by the DVD. Penetration of the SBU and other Ukrainian security services was critical to its success. It wasn’t just down to the mob, who were no more peaceful demonstrators than King Cetshwayo’s Zulus were a dance troupe. Ukrainian democracy was undermined from within.
President Yanukovych remains Ukraine’s de jure Head of State. As a matter of public international law he is competent to invite Russian forces in to protect lives and property, restore order and ensure constitutional legitimacy. Both he and President Putin could rely if need be on the precedents of US intervention in Grenada and Panama, and the NATO interventions in Bosnia-Herzegovina and Kosovo. Pooters is entitled to a wry smile as he does this. What goes around, comes around.
The support of the Foreign Office for the coup was disgraceful, and was the cue for Britain’s Eurosceptics to support Mother Russia. If you don’t know which side to back, wait for the Foreign Office to show its hand, then support the other side. They always choose the wrong one.
The Snipers
The DVD’s use of snipers was particularly egregious. This was the well-worn SAVAK strategy – go over the top, be brutal and undermine the legitimacy of the cause you are nominally supporting. It’s a wily ploy – just the sort of thing the ‘wily Hun’ goes for – and very deadly. I seriously doubt that President Yanukovych ordered anybody shot. He has been revealed by the way to be a man of fine taste in automobiles, owning a Bentley. We don’t sell Bentleys to thugs.
The Marlborough Group Video
Welcome to new readers. I gather there have been around a thousand or so extra visits to my column in the last 72 hours or so. I was alerted a few days ago to the fact that someone had picked up on comments I made in an on the record intelligence briefing to the Marlborough Group on March 2nd 2008.
My references to the DNA report the CIA did on Barack Obama in 2007 were edited into a shorter video. This has gone viral – the video, not the test results. The last estimate I had was 8 million hits, in about 48 hours, but I didn’t do the math! It might have been just 8. Both CIA and NSA had the full briefing on file.
The Administration have been backing the, with respect, malicious prosecution of me by Britain’s Crown Prosecution Service, a state-controlled entity which reports to the Cabinet Office and is highly politicized. They have also been having a go at the NSA. Someone, somewhere has been winding up to give Obama and the CPS a good smack. The excerpt on Obama was released and my Inbox has been overflowing ever since.
The CPS operate to a low ethical standard, with respect, even by civilian standards, much lower than the Bar, which operates to military ethical standards. About 7 days ago INTELCOM opened up on the CPS, commencing a phased release of damaging intelligence, including details of illegal phone-tapping of defense lawyers and eavesdropping on privileged discussions between defendants and their legal teams in high-profile cases where the prosecution was backed by the Cabinet Office. The DPP, Alison Saunders, and the Attorney-General may well have to go, no offense intended. The Shadow Attorney-General is being briefed in this weekend.
The CPS stand to lose about $10 million in wasted costs on one trial alone, ironically involving allegations of phone-hacking. Boomps-a-daisy. There is worse to come, including blackmail of a number of married gay judges in sensitive cases, where the CPS know they can continue with a weak prosecution.
Questions are bound to be asked about who knew what in advance of the disgraceful assassination by GO2 in 2007, using a German bio-weapon, of the respected Lord Justice Pumfrey, a very distinguished and highly intelligent Court of Appeal judge. Pumfrey LJ is the only senior judicial figure to have been murdered in Britain since World War II. He was a fine, unbiddable judge, which is why he was assassinated of course. He was a great loss to the law.
I can confirm that the Marlborough Video is genuine. It was shot in Marlborough Town Hall. The chairman was a great intelligence officer, Lt-Col Harry Beckhough, of Bletchley Park. He was attached to General Montgomery’s staff prior to the Battle of El Alamein, which he helped win by outfoxing Rommel. You had to get up pretty early in the morning to outwit Erwin Rommel. Harry, whose 100th birthday celebration I attended earlier this month, is Britain’s oldest living intelligence officer and also one of the smartest. Most spooks half his age would struggle to keep up. If he has a fault, shared incidentally with myself, it’s that he’s too modest.
Harry set up the Marlborough Research Group, essentially as an intelligence clearing house. A former MI5 officer was also on the platform that day. The audience included a deadly enemy of the DVD, in Naval Intelligence, who started tracking them in the Korean War and blew Galland’s Mig-15 operation, with a bit of help from the Fleet Air Arm and a USAF F-86 squadron. That was the biggest single intelligence coup of the entire war.
I can also confirm that I advised the CIA to do a DNA test on Barack Obama, in the interests of US national security, and the hemispheric security interest. I also suggested the method of acquiring his DNA that they eventually used – a wine glass. I was the second lawyer in the world to use DNA fingerprinting, in 1985. As an immigration judge I used to analyze DNA reports on a regular basis.
I was amused to be told last night that the Secret Service now protect Obama’s wine glasses! Word on the street is that he failed the test. At any rate the DNA test report went into the Director’s office safe at Langley. All I got out of it was a good lunch. The CIA do a good lunch, as long as you don’t go near the canteen. Thankfully I couldn’t go anywhere near the George H. Bush Intelligence Center without provoking an outbreak of mass hysteria and a phone call to the eponymous George H. Bush.
Senior officials in the Justice Department viewed the video excerpt, following which the Attorney-General was hospitalized, although I make no suggestion that there was a connection. General Holder has my best wishes for a speedy recovery. I gather it was only a short stay, thankfully, so I didn’t send flowers.
For some reason my relations with the Obama Administration have never been good. I cannot imagine why.

Response to Comments
For new readers, I do look at the posted comments and try to respond to the main ones the following week. It was nice to be mentioned in the same sentence as Churchill, whose late grandson, also Winston, I counted as a friend. Thanks. I have no idea where people get the idea that I am a German-hater from. I am no more anti-German than Bomber Harris. One of my best friends is a German.
I was once even invited into the German Embassy for drinks, to celebrate Germany’s national day, upsetting Ted Heath. It was hilarious. The then Ambassador, a very fine man and an Anglophile, and I, strolled down the staircase with our arms around each other’s backs, whilst astonished officials looked on. We later exchanged Christmas cards. Ted was gobsmacked. He nearly dropped his drink. The German Naval Attaché looked like Captain Langsdorff shortly before he scuttled the Graf Spee. I will not hear a word said against that Ambassador, Germany’s best ever in London.

Movie of the Week – Blockade (1942)
Broadcast again on Film Four this week this is still a most valuable reminder of the importance of blockade and strategic bombing in defeating Germany. It celebrates the great work of Hugh Dalton, of MII8, and the Ministry of Economic Warfare, the only efficient non-Service department in British history. For new readers I feature a different classic movie, usually on a war or intelligence theme, each week.
The cast of Blockade was stellar –Sir John Mills, Leslie Banks, Robert Morley, Michael Rennie, Sir Michael Redgrave and Marius Goring among them. The reviewers got it wrong. They called it a ‘propaganda’ movie, which is nonsense. An early docu-drama by Ealing Studios, it was an information movie. We only call it propaganda if the Germans do it.
There are fine studies of British and American warships at sea, including one of HMS Renown. I think I spotted a brief shot of dear old HMS Penelope, one of the bravest cruisers of all time. This little ship, for a cruiser, did wonderful work. She and her gallant crew are not forgotten, and never will be, as long there is a Britisher alive to draw breath.
