President of the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY) Steve Spinola is a huge fan – and an admitted friend and associate – of confessed 9/11 terrorist Larry Silverstein. In a Real Estate Weekly puff piece published yesterday, Spinola puts the spin-ola on Silverstein’s meteoric rise to fame as the man who admitted to “pulling” or demolishing World Trade Center 7 – and, by implication, the Twin Towers as well.
Spinola’s tribute to Silverstein is headlined “Downtown champ Silverstein helps city shine on global stage.” This could be an oblique reference to Silverstein’s role in the events of September 11th, 2001, which made New York City “shine on the global stage” in unprecedented fashion.
Is Spinola aware of Silverstein’s 9/11 crimes and covertly alluding to them, in the typical style of Straussian neocon doublespeak? Get a load of this sentence:
“Larry Silverstein has had a profound effect on Lower Manhattan’s skyline.”
Truer words were never spoken.
By admittedly participating in the decision to “pull” Building 7, in the wake of the controlled demolitions of his Twin Towers, Silverstein certainly did exert a “profound effect” on the skyline.
Another Spinola howler begins: “After signing a groundbreaking 99-year lease for the original World Trade Center, Larry shocked the world…”
…by blowing up the white-elephant condemned-for-asbestos buildings he bought two months earlier, after doubling the terror insurance and changing the policy to cash-payout – then doubling THAT sum by claiming double-indemnity due to the “two completely separate and unrelated terrorist attacks” – namely, the two planes?
Alas, Spinola veers away from the truth and merely tells us Larry shocked the world “by declaring his intention to rebuild the site following the tragedy of September 11.”
What has really shocked the world is Larry’s managing to survive this long without being shot, strangled, garrotted, pummeled, decapitated, and/or defenestrated by one or more angry family members of 9/11 victims.
Though Larry Silverstein has thus far escaped justice, both the legal and vigilante varieties, he does not seem to have fully eluded the ravages of whatever conscience he may possess. According to reports, Silverstein has been suffering from deep depression. Is Spinola’s fawning article an effort to cheer Silverstein up?

Despite his depression, Silverstein has leveraged his multi-billion-dollar 9/11 insurance fraud bonanza to become one of the biggest players in global real estate. The self-confessed demolisher of Building 7 and close friend of Netanyahu is now one of the biggest Zionist crime kingpins on the planet.
Spinola winds up his arse-kissing article:
“I would like to thank Larry Silverstein for his unwavering commitment to bettering New York…”
Um…shouldn’t that be “battering New York” ?
