New 21st Century U.S. Middle East Policy Desperately Needed

What is U.S. Policy in the Middle East and Why Can’t the Average American Articulate It?

Confusing right?   Even I, a 30-year experienced hands-on observer of the machinations in the Middle East cannot figure out what is going on half the time and why the U.S.

The government does what it does.  So how can anyone expect Joe The Real American Plumber to know?  There is no guidance, no clear plan, and no leadership explaining in honest real terms why we do what we do and what is going on.  Why?

First, check out what former CIA agent Michael Scheuer says in an interview with RT.com about the current situation in the Middle East. His insight explains, in plain truth, what is going on now and where it’s going.

Michael Scheuer is a twenty-plus-year CIA veteran. From 1996 to 1999, he served as the Chief of the bin Laden unit (aka Alec Station), the Osama bin Laden tracking unit at the Counterterrorism Center. He then worked as Special Adviser to the Chief of the bin Laden unit from September 2001 to November 2004.

He resigned from the CIA in 2004. He is currently an Adjunct Professor of Security Studies at Georgetown University and a Senior Fellow at the Jamestown Foundation, writing regularly for its online publication Global Terrorism Analysis. He lives in Virginia with his wife and two children.

As the Obama administration continues to fail in providing, the global people, a clear foreign policy plan for the Middle East arena, we all suffer through the non-sense and craziness that creates confusion and hate and perpetuates the artificial divisions of people not only in the region but around the world.

The 20th century is over and old crusties dressed in polyester suits who still want its failed ideologies continue to push us into their artificial ditch! It has to end! There is no other way forward!

This shit has to go

Clearly, without a clearly articulated global plan for a 21st-century middle east that involves all parties, the U.S. will continue to bleed forward as the Middle East continues as a failed “state” within the global community.

In short, “hey Obama and the Middle Eastern governors, what is the freakin’ plan already?
Is it bulldoze and bomb strategy or build a new better Middle East that empowers and builds bridges to the future instead of bombing one another every time a power-hungry psychopath feels like a little scooby snack? Come on people.

Punish was educated at the University of Nevada Las Vegas (1980-81) and California State University Fullerton (1981-1984) with studies in accounting and business. Before the “internets” had been invented, he owned and ran (5) national newspapers in the United States of America from 1987-1998.  From 2004 to 2023, he owned and managed VT Foreign Policy retiring at the end of 2023.

Punish is also a recording artist.  He has over 100 original songs written. He records and produces music. A member of ASCAP, Punish has several songs placed in feature films. His music is promoted worldwide and played on all digital networks and net radio.
