The Prisoner – Starring Patrick McGoohan as Number 6

(Editor’s note:  I am a big fan of “The Prisoner” g)

By Dr Stuart Jeanne Bramhallpatrick mcgoohan

The Prisoner is a Orwellian series from 1967 about dissident and whistleblowing spies who are punished by being sent to a remote village from which they can never escape. The late creator, producer, and star Patrick McGoohan shows prophetic insight into indoctrination and mind control, the sociopathic intelligence industrial complex, and the coming New World Order.

The Village was modeled after a real place in Scotland where dissident British spies were sent during World War II. The original 17 episodes are still under copyright but can be purchased for $1.99 each from iTunes

At the time, we called this surrealism. Oh, to be young and naive again.
