Where: Celebrated on the “Grand Lawn” of the Los Angeles VA Healthcare Center, 11301 Wilshire Blvd, West Los Angeles, CA 90073 – West of the 405 Freeway and on the North Campus (North of Wilshire)
Who: Hosted by Vietnam Veterans of America, Region 9 (California, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah, Colorado, Hawaii, Guam and the Philippines)
Guest Speakers:
JAMES WORTHY: LA Laker Super-Star; Seven-Time NBA All-Star, Three-Time NBA Champion and 1988 NBA Finals MVP.
CARLOS PALOMINO: WBC Welterweight Champion, a Vietnam-era Veteran and U.S. Army Boxing Champion.
LILLY LAWRENCE: American Patriot and Selfless Champion for the underprivileged. Lilly will offer a very special tribute to our World War II Veterans. Her late husband, Francis Bunty Lawrence, was a United States Marine Corps Sergeant who served during World War II.
Why: To unify all Veterans for a day of Celebration and Camaraderie and to pay Special Tribute with a Grand Salute Honoring our World War II Veterans.
