The Funeral of Lady Thatcher

I am sure many Americans will have wondered why this greatest of all stateswomen was not honored with a state funeral.
Yesterday’s low-key ceremony was well-managed, but Lady Thatcher should have been honoured in the same was as Sir Winston Churchill.
I wished that I had been there, but some idiot in the Bruges Group, of which Baroness Thatcher was President, stuffed up my ticket application! He will not lightly be forgiven.
As for the protestors I entirely agree with that nice man Freddie Forsyth, who complained in the Daily Telegraph this week that he had to “delve deep into my bawbees to pay to teach brains that are plainly uneducable.” Hilariously, some of the protestors ended up shouting at each other. Their conduct was shameful.
I was pleased to see that Vice-President Cheney and Henry Kissinger made the effort to attend. I know they both had to amend their schedules at short notice. I gather poor old Henry had to dash for the airport at the end of the reception at the Guildhall!
Young Amanda Thatcher made a great impression on everyone. She is clearly a chip off the old block and we look forward to her being elected to Congress!
As for the Obama Administration they didn’t even bother sending John Kerry, although in fairness he had a terrorist tragedy in his home state. We know Obama is anti-British but we were expecting Vice-President Biden at least. We will have to think of an insult to fling back at the Administration. We in the Tory Party have got a few ideas about how to insult David Cameron, after the Coalition blocked a state funeral.
The small military participation reminded the world how tiny our armed forces have become. We need to start funding defense properly, yesterday. The absence of a fly-past was particularly striking. The obvious aircraft to have flown over St. Paul’s Cathedral as the Thatcher family and the Queen emerged was the surviving Avro Vulcan bomber, XH558, indeed the need to use her for flypasts is yet another reason why National Lottery money should be spent on her. Of course Margaret wanted a fly-past. The Cabinet Office will always claim the deceased didn’t want a fuss to be made.
Boston and West
The terror attack on Boston had all hallmarks of a DVD operation. If it was they will stay deep as always, and there will be official assistance, as with 9/11. The FBI are penetrated and have been all over the place this week, showing all the classic signs of interference from Washington. My initial thoughts were that they were using jihadis, but it’s starting to look more like fake right-wing whackos, as in the DVD and Iraqi sponsored bombing in Oklahoma City, and in Norway.
I am not buying accident for the fertilizer plant explosion this morning in West, TX. The chances of accident are not high, although there may be a cover up.
The DVD also specialize in using ricin and in cruise ship attacks. Both those tactics have been tried this week in the US. It’s all starting to look very coordinated. I note what people are saying about the dates – West is not that far from Waco.
My heart goes out to the victims, especially the little girl who lost both her brother and her leg. It’s kind of tough having to learn that the Obama Administration does not grasp how to deal with terrorism, at the tender age of 6. We have to stop pussy-footing around with the DVD. We can’t keep sacrificing people like this.
My respectful congratulations to the US Senate, which stood up to moral blackmail and threw out laws which would have undermined the right of Americans to bear arms. If the Sandy Hook families want to find out what really happened they could do worse than read VT. Since there three shooters and they were DVD backed tougher firearms laws would not have made a difference. The Latin Kings don’t usually bother registering their guns. The families are being used, sadly.
