A Few Hard Facts About How America Expresses its Patriotism This Election Year

The video below is less than three minutes. It was a short interview on a news program from Press TV, the Iranian network that I have found to be the best overall news available. Press TV does this: They put opinion with opinion and news with news. How “UnAmerican” of them.
I work in the defense sector. More of us need to speak to the press and the only press that listens to real Americans is in Iran. Ironic? I certainly find it so.

Yes, I am probably too old to be working. However, few Americans can ever retire, we have children to support, children whose jobs and futures we mortgaged by voting for gangsters, “fratboy” chickenhawks and underachievers for years.
Washington is the home of the world’s sociopaths, malignant narcissists and corn holers. If you shake hands with a politician, wear gloves, keep your back to the wall and count your fingers when you are done.
I am not a peace activist or anti-imperialist. I am a Marine veteran who, out of stubbornness tries to believe in the United States.
I am now convinced, as are so many around me, most combat vets, elite units, decorated soldiers, some with a lifetime of service, we are sick at heart, sick of they hypocrisy, sick of the treatment we have gotten, and I don’t mean “airport spitters.”
I guess Bush 43 was the worst, slashing benefits during the middle of a war.
I have some contradictory opinions about our medical system for vets. So many people there are great professionals yet it is worse care than I can get walking into a dirt floor clinic in Southern Sudan.
What have I learned as a disabled combat veteran?
The answer is simple.
Don’t get sick.
