The Romney Conundrum, Loved in Israel and Hated by Jews

Romney has two enormous problems, he is drowning in Jewish money, legal donations from Las Vegas gambling “magnate,” Sheldon Adelson, a man who has spent years ducking criminal charges and the Koch Brothers, suspected of orchestrating fuel and food shortages which, during an election year, he hopes will drive voters to suicide.  He also has received millions overseas from non-citizens, donations that are criminal violations of election laws, money from criminal groups tied to “blood diamonds,” money laundering, drug and weapons running and, technically, terrorism.

Voting for Mitt Romney is seen by many voters as just that, suicide, but voting for Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan means no Jewish voter in America will vote for the candidate who lives on Jewish billionaire cash.  His values, their values are not traditional American or traditional Jewish values.  Organized crime, despite what staffers tell Romney, doesn’t represent the majority of Jewish Americans no more than Italian Americans are Mafioso.  Romney is in bed with gangsters because he is and always has been one of them, stripping companies, bundling cash into overseas accounts, looting pension funds, none of this is a secret.

His recent trip also demonstrated that Romney was willing to leave the United States and collect money, including meeting in Tel Aviv to launder “blood diamond” cash from the cabal in Tel Aviv that pushed millions into Romney’s pockets during his visit there and had their banker friends in London do the same.  Despite the locked doors and security, both London and Tel Aviv have extensive public surveillance systems and, lo and behold, nobody told Romney his waiters and bus boys were filming the whole thing.

He took millions from non-citizens, all taped carefully, every secret conversation recorded, stored away for the day he tries to back down on bombing Iran.  Then, out come the blackmail tapes, just as with the Bush family and “their private problem” or Tony Blair or Gordon Brown or David Cameron.  All had carefully documented “personal flaws” that are not just used to “secure Israel” but are traded like baseball cards, buying the invasion of Iraq or overlooking drug and prostitution rings or drug trafficking.  Blackmail is power and it can be used anywhere, it is a commodity and it is sold to and used by the highest bidder.

Casino boss, Sheldon Adelson took Romney on an overseas fundraiser, one that left him controlled, compromised, money for sure, felony money but what else, little boys, little girls, drugs?  We can only guess but we do know that Romney’s life and weaknesses were profiled before this trip and everything he was vulnerable to was put in front of him, like with John McCain in Hanoi, put on film to be brought out when needed.

This is why intelligence officers have to report all foreign contacts and face lie detector tests.  It isn’t so much what you do, it is what can be used against you, the term is “leverage.”  The Bush family was blackmailed.  Those who went after Bush (41) were sorry.  Those who went after Bush (43) got the war, got the drugs, got the phony terror attack on the WTC, got the deregulation and the derivative scams, “sonny boy” was not dad.

A minor problem for Romney is American election law.  As VT recently published:

“A real question many might ask, why would a presidential candidate travel outside the US to seek campaign money at all? As the Supreme Court points out, in the decision Bluman, et al., v. Federal Elections Commission, no foreign cash, especially collected overseas, can ever be used in an American campaign.”

The Bipartisan Campaign Reform act of 2002 raised criminal penalties for candidates that accept money from foreign sources with amounts in excess of $10,000 (what Romney is known to spend on lunch) considered very serious and each count adding to the overall penalty which can, at the digression of the sentencing judge be served concurrently.

Those traveling with Romney to Israel and London stated he received millions from anonymous donors whose numbers are minimally three digits or more.  This is what current law states as far as penalties go:

“After receiving input from various sources, pursuant to solicitations for public comment in November 2002 and January 2003, the Commission believes that the current penalty distinction between two year offenses (for those offenses which involve more than $10,000) and five year offenses (for those offenses which involve $25,000 or more), as prescribed by 2 U.S.C. § 437g(d), overemphasizes the differences in culpability between these groups of offenders.

Given the serious nature of all FECA offenses, as recognized by Congress in its directives to the Commission, the Commission believes that all FECA offenses that involve more than $10,000 should be subject to the five year statutory maximum. Indeed, several of the aggravating factors (the involvement of a foreign source, the use of governmental funds, and an intent to achieve a benefit from the Federal Government) identified by Congress in its directive to the Commission may be present in FECA offenses involving less than $25,000.

Thus, in order to permit aggravating factors identified by Congress and included by the Commission in the new guideline to operate more fully, the Commission recommends a five year statutory maximum for all FECA offenses involving more than $10,000. This result would better equip sentencing courts to calibrate penalties commensurate with the seriousness of the offense––a fundamental objective of the federal sentencing guidelines.”

As to the question of “seriousness,” one could point out the obvious, that a presidential candidate left the country to collect cash based on promises of starting a world war that might well kill all live on earth.

I think that qualifies as serious.

As to amounts, the $25,000 figure is almost laughable.  This was a typical “per plate” cost at illegal fundraisers with his private meetings, hotel room, closed door but “packed room” in both Israel and Great Britain garnering hundreds of thousands and even millions from some supporters.

Inexorably, a reading of the statue above would indicate potential prison sentences that could only be expressed exponentially.  Yet, though hated by Jewish American voters, something we will discuss, the intercession of the Koch Brothers and Sheldon Adelson has kept Romney out of prison.

Stranger still is Romney’s choice of Paul Ryan, a candidate extremely unpopular with a wide number of voters, Jews, African Americans, working people, even farmers, as his choice.

Who is Ryan, the man who would be president if Romney were to suddenly meet “his maker,” whom many believe stokes the fires of hell?

Well, Ryan went to a Miami University in Oxford, Ohio for four years.  He has no professional expertise, no graduate degrees, experience in law, economics, foreign policy, never served a day in the military or held a full time job.

Yes, since birth, Ryan has sought education, albeit average or less, held several minor part time jobs, but has only worked as a political volunteer, getting coffee, agreeing with people, known as “brown nosing,” (he won an award for that in high school) but has never worked.

He claims he learned politics from ready Ayn Rand novels and reading magazines.

This man would be, thus far, the least qualified individual to be a “heartbeat away from the presidency” since Sarah Palin, the GOPs last losing candidate for vice president.  Before entering politics, Sarah Palin did “sports and weather” on a small rural television channel.

Since all financial support behind this group, all known support, comes from outside the US, illegal sources and two Jewish billionaires featured in the film, The Candidate, as buffoonish criminals (I count the Koch Brothers as one person as neither have ever spoken and they are never seen, no one can tell them apart or, frankly, wishes to.)

Before nominating Ryan, most mainstream publication believed Romney, though of the Mormon Religion, considered a “cult” by most Americans, would receive at least a third of the Jewish vote.

That number has been taken down a bit, somewhere around 0%.

Peter Beinhart of the Daily Beast, an online publication owned by Newsweek, generally “controlled news +,” went into the statistics and came up with some conclusions no one outside the US is generally aware of:

“…Another driver of the Jewish vote is fear of the Christian right…According to a 2012 study by the Public Religion Research Institute, American Jews feel almost twice as sympathetic to American Muslims as they do to the Christian right.”

Ryan is the right; his only foreign policy statements simply affirmed, in this case a fairly accurate depiction;

“Whatever George “W” Bush did was right, whatever, and I just don’t want to be bothered with any hard thinking.”

Beinhart’s polls of American Jews are surprises for those living outside the US, who only get their news filtered through Rupert Murdoch and his friends:

• An October 2008 poll by Steven M. Cohen, Sam Abrams, and Judith Veinstein found that only 15 percent of American Jews ranked Israel as one of their three top voting issues.
• This March, when the American Jewish Committee asked American Jews what most influences their presidential vote, only 6 percent answered “Israel,” with another 4 percent citing “Iran’s nuclear program.”

Romney, as governor of a state, was moderate, almost reasonable at times with positions that were pro-choice (women’s rights), pro health care and pro-gay rights.  These are issues consistent with Jewish voters.

Ryan is the opposite, sharing with Romney a dedication to war on Iran, a path to endless cash from gangsters, “blood diamond” peddlers, gamblers, arms merchants and the financial criminals he has promised to release upon the world again, a repeat of the Bush/Blair disaster but leaving as much of the world as they can touch either a poverty stricken wasteland or a nuclear wasteland.

With the collapse of American industry and reliable “union” jobs that included guaranteed health care and pensions, all most Americans today can survive on is inherited money, Social Security and the promise of Medicare.

More honestly, over 50 million Americans, the majority both white and residents of “red states,” states that typically are poorly educated, economically backward but “conservative” in voting habits, live on forms of what Ryan and Romney call “welfare” now.

I find it ironic that those who talk most about minorities and “illegal aliens” running America into bankruptcy are also those who are equally unaware that Bank of America alone lost more capital through trading of illegal derivatives than the entire cost of Social Security since its inception in 1937.  Sound crazy?

Social security, money paid in by workers and employers and kept in a government fund, in trust, has paid out around $10 trillion dollars between 1937 and 2012.

Nobody knows how much it has collected and misdirected to other programs but moneys collected for the Social Security trust are estimated at $20 trillion.

The government wants to simply steal what remains of the $10 trillion to finance tax cuts for the rich.

Here is the best part.  According to Bloomberg, just two of America’s largest banks owe $154 trillion dollars to the US government based on unauthorized borrowing from the Federal Reserve through issuing “derivatives,” bank securities counted as cash but entirely “imaginary” in nature:

“Bank of America’s holding company — the parent of both the retail bank and the Merrill Lynch securities unit — held almost $75 trillion of derivatives at the end of June, according to data compiled by the OCC. That compares with JPMorgan’s deposit-taking entity, JPMorgan Chase Bank NA, which contained 99 percent of the New York-based firm’s $79 trillion of notional derivatives, the OCC data show.”

This is Ryan’s ethical position:  He advocates that stealing the retirement paid in by 99% of Americans and giving it to the wealthiest 1% who already owe an estimated $600 trillion of illegal debt, 100% of which was incurred during the 8 year Bush presidency, is both fair and reasonable.

In the process, 99% of Americans will lose the majority of their retirement income, placing most at below starvation levels, all will lose access to any form of health care and what investments they do have will face “deregulation” as under Bush.

Deregulation means the money will be stolen and put in Swiss Bank accounts, like the thousands of accounts Mitt Romney has his billions in.

What have we learned?

• American Jews like Muslims more than Republicans
• American Jews are unconcerned with Israel and don’t believe stories they hear about Iran and nuclear weapons.
• American Jews fear the Christian Right and not Muslims.
• There is NO active support for war with Iran among actual American Jews though few in the world ever hear the truth.

This is not to say that Jews, Christians or Muslims in America are well informed as a group  and, certainly, there are groups in America that hold extremist views, Christian Zionists, a group feared by Jews, Mormons and other cults.

Who profits by turning people against each other?  We know of two banks, as we see above.  We can make a longer list, defense and oil, or the pathologically insane, many of whom serve in government.
