This Saturday, March 10, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. VA Western New York Healthcare System is hosting an employment and education fair for Veterans in Freedom Hall at the Buffalo VA, 3495 Bailey Avenue.
Employers that will be at the Job Fair are:
Pepsi Co., Geico, Citi, Ingram Mirco, National Fuel, TSA, Rosina Foods, The Service Collaborative of WNY, Durham Staffing, Forever Board, LLC, VA Western NY Healthcare System, U.S. Navy Reserves, U.S. Post Office, Rural Metro, Armor Electric Motor & Crane Services, Franz Property Maintenance, Seneca Niagara Casino, Statler Group, Sherer Heating & Air Conditioning, Lowe’s Stores, People, Inc., U.S. Customs & Border Protection, Perry’s Ice Cream, Advance Auto Parts, Petri Baking Products, People, Inc. and the N.Y. State Dept. of Labor.
Colleges and Universities attending are:
Buffalo State College, Daemen College, D’Youville College, Erie Community College, ITT Tech, Buffalo Small Business Development Center, Medaille College, Canisius College, SUNY Empire State College, Niagara County Community College, Niagara University and Trocaire College.
Veterans will have the opportunity to meet with prospective employers, learn about education
opportunities available through local colleges and participate in workshops to improve skills. Workshops
presented in the Skills Center, room 309A, will include assistance in using USA Jobs and dressing for success.
Information will be available to assist Veteran owned businesses in the process to bid for government work.
