Happy Thanksgiving – The Magic Of Gratitude

God is love, an evolutionary process with which we all participate as co-creators. The engine of this loving plan in action is gratitude which always begins with ourselves and eventually leads to inner joy and delight.

Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity: It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today; and creates a vision for tomorrow.”   Melody Beattie

Gratitude is the only antidote for unworthiness for gratitude helps remove the stifling blanket of self-negating unworthiness ~ and gratitude allows a closed heart to open, to love and be loved, and to dance in inner joy and delight.

May your heart be filled with gratitude this Thanksgiving ~ here are some of my favorite reminders from Rumi that magic and delight lie within an open heart ~ that already knows your next step:

Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.” Rumi

“The minute I heard my first love story,  I started looking for you, not knowing  how blind that was. Lovers don’t finally meet somewhere.  They’re in each other all along.” Rumi

“You were born with wings, why prefer to crawl through life?” Rumi

“What you seek is seeking you.” Rumi

“Dance, when you’re broken open. Dance, if you’ve torn the bandage off. Dance in the middle of the fighting. Dance in your blood. Dance when you’re perfectly free.” Rumi

“Let the beauty we love be what we do. There are hundreds of ways to kneel and kiss the ground.” Rumi

And my favorite Rumi quote;

“Out beyond ideas of wrong doing and right doing there is a field.  I’ll meet you there.  When the soul lies down in that grass the world is too full to talk about.” Rumi

That Field that Rumi knows so well is a Unified Field of love and soul consciousness that exists not only beyond time and space but also deepest within ourselves. And gratitude is the lifeblood of that state of consciousness.

Happy Thanksgiving
