Whether you believe the standard 9/11 explanation of what happened, or whether you believe any of the alternative ideas regarding what happened that day, the fact remains “revealed” religions are at the root of the tragedy.
On the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks we need to objectively look at the motivation for the attacks if we want to take meaningful action to be sure something like this never happens again. I’m certain every one of the 2,996 people who died during those attacks would want to do all they could so their children and grandchildren would never have to go through anything like it in their lives.
When we objectively look at the big picture which preceded the 9/11 attacks by at least two decades, we are brought to Washington, Palestine and to Israel.
Due to Israel’s powerful lobby in Washington, the Jewish state has been able to buy U.S. Congressmen and Congresswomen and U.S. politicians in general. One example of how subordinate U.S. politicians have made themselves and the United States of America to Israel is clearly shown in the resolution passed on June 2, 2011 by the South Carolina legislature called, “A HOUSE RESOLUTION TO COMMEND THE NATION OF ISRAEL FOR ITS RELATIONS WITH THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA AND WITH THE STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA.” This resolution reflects the deep acceptance of superstitions found in the Old Testament/Hebrew Bible which were written by ancient Hebrews/Jews to promote themselves and Israel. The resolution starts out with “Whereas, Israel has been granted her lands under and through the oldest recorded deed as reported in the Old Testament, a tome of scripture held sacred and reverenced by Jew and Christian, alike, as the acts and words of God; and “Whereas, as the Grantor of said lands, God stated to the Jewish people in the Old Testament; in Leviticus, Chapter 20, Verse 24: “Ye shall inherit their land, and I will give it unto you to possess it, a land that floweth with milk and honey”; and “Whereas, God has never rescinded his grant of said lands;. . .”
This is pure unadulterated ignorance! It is also disingenuous in that the politicians left out of their quote of Leviticus 20:24, “I am the LORD your God, which have separated you from other people.” In fact, the ancient Hebrews/Jews who wrote the Bible put these words of Jewish superiority in God’s mouth at Deuteronomy 7:6 – “For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.”
Anyone who objectively reads the Bible soon learns it is very self-contradictory. As the Deist Thomas Paine made crystal clear in his very important book, The Age of Reason, The Complete Edition (for Kindle version, click here), the Bible’s gross ambiguity makes it meaningless. It can be used to support virtually any position a person wants it to. A good example of this is the American Civil War. The Union used the Bible to condemn slavery and the Confederacy used the Bible to show slavery is ordained by God. This is important to keep in mind when reading the next “Whereas” in this ignorance and superstition based resolution, for it reads, “Whereas, along with the grant of said lands to the Jewish people, God provided for the non-Jewish residents of the land in commanding that governance must be in one law for all without drawing distinction between Jewish and non-Jewish citizens, as contained in Leviticus 24:22; . . .” First off, the people living in those lands don’t want to live under Jewish laws and superstitions. Of course, the reality is that Arabs living in Israel are living under Jewish suppression.
Second, Leviticus 24:22 does state, “Ye shall have one manner of law, as well for the stranger, as for one of your own country: for I am the LORD your God.” However, as stated above, Exodus 23:32-33 states the opposite. And add to this numerous accounts of the Bible god instructing the Hebrews/Jews to treat Gentiles poorly. For example, Deuteronomy 23:20 has the god of the Hebrews/Jews instructing, ” Unto a stranger thou mayest lend upon usury; but unto thy brother thou shalt not lend upon usury: that the LORD thy God may bless thee in all that thou settest thine hand to in the land whither thou goest to possess it.” And Leviticus 25:44-46 reads, “Both thy bondmen, and thy bondmaids, which thou shalt have, shall be of the heathen that are round about you; of them shall ye buy bondmen and bondmaids. Moreover of the children of the strangers that do sojourn among you, of them shall ye buy, and of their families that are with you, which they begat in your land: and they shall be your possession. And ye shall take them as an inheritance for your children after you, to inherit them for a possession; they shall be your bondmen for ever: but over your brethren the children of Israel, ye shall not rule one over another with rigour.”
There are countless examples of U.S. politicians kowtowing to Israel and its lobby at the expense of America, Americans and virtually everyone else in the world. Here are just a few: U.S. Democratic Senator Steny Hoyer visits Israel and assures them that the BILLIONS of U.S. tax dollars the politicians take from American tax payers and give to the Jewish state every year will continue no matter how bad the American economy is; U.S. Republican presidential candidate Rick Perry says, “My faith requires me to support Israel;” U.S. politicians from both parties (the promotion of Israel at the expense of America and Americans always finds bipartisan support) start the war in Iraq for Israel’s benefit which has to date cost the U.S. over 4,470 lives of American military people (here’s a list of their names) and has cost the U.S. over $794 BILLION tax dollars and counting. Sadly, the list goes on and on.
Israel itslef believes the nonsense the ancient Hebrews/Jews wrote in their Tanakah/Bible. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu openly said, “[Jerusalem] is not a settlement. It is the sovereign capital of the State of Israel. We have been building in Jerusalem for 3,000 years.” Based on that logic, Israel’s borders would extend from parts of Egypt to parts of Jordan and parts of Iraq as televangelist and Christian Zionist Pat Robertson makes clear in his article The Land of Israel: A Gift From God. Other than the bought and paid for obedient U.S. politicians, the rest of the word believes Israel should not occupy East Jerusalem. A good example of this is the European Union’s report.
Israel’s insistence on returning to their borders of 3,000 years ago must also mean they apply the same coldblooded brutality as is shown in the Old Testament/Hebrew Bible. Coldblooded brutality such as is found in Numbers 31:15-18 which has a very angry Moses admonishing the Israeli army for not butchering all of the women and children of the Midianites. Moses commanded his Israeli army, ordering, “Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him. But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves.” Verse 35 tells us the number of virgins/”women children” the Israelis kept and raped was 32,000. And what about the beautiful Psalm 137:9 which reads, “Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones.” With a mindset like this, which is financed by American politicians of both parties taking BILLIONS of dollars out of the pockets of Americans, terrorism, potentially both state terrorism and individual terrorism, is bound to revisit the United States again.
Looking at the “holy” book of Islam, the Koran or Quran, we see it too teaches the false and dangerous idea of superiority of Muslims. Surah 3:110 states, “Ye are the best community that hath been raised up for mankind. Ye enjoin right conduct and forbid indecency; and ye believe in Allah. And if the People of the Scripture had believed it had been better for them. Some of them are believers; but most of them are evil-livers.”
Surah 3:151 calls for violence and the subjagation of non-Muslims. It reads, “We shall cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve because they ascribe unto Allah partners, for which no warrant hath been revealed. Their habitation is the Fire, and hapless the abode of the wrong-doers.” Beliefs like these only justify violence against people who reject Islam. This is nonsense and paints a terrible picture of God. It reminds me of what the Deist and American founding father, Thomas Paine, wrote in The Age of Reason. He wrote, “Is it because ye are sunk in the cruelty of superstition, or feel no interest in the honor of your Creator, that ye listen to the horrid tales of the Bible, or hear them with callous indifference?” This can not only be applied to the Bible, but also to the Koran.
Another reason for the 9/11 attacks is U.S. politicians supporting dictators in the Middle East who agree to not resisting Israel. For example, the U.S. politicians have been giving huge amounts of money taken from American tax payers to the Egyptian dictator Hosni Mubarak for years and years. It didn’t matter to the U.S. politicians how burtal and murderous he was to the Egyptian people, as long as he didn’t upset their Israeli string-pullers he was alrgiht with them.
In November 2002 Osama bin Laden released an open letter to the American people regarding the reasons for the 9/11 attacks. The bulk of it is nothing but “revealed” religious nonsense. However, in it he covers some reasonable complaints about America’s blind support and favoritism of Israel which costs the Islamic people thousands of lives of men, women and children through Israel’s use of deadly American weapons the U.S. politicians give to the Jewish state every year. He also pointed out America’s support of the brutal dictators in Islamic nations.
It’s interesting to note that bin Laden is critical of the United States for having a secular Constitution. He thought we should have a constitution based on Islamic law. He wrote, “You are the nation who, rather than ruling by the Shariah of Allah in its Constitution and Laws, choose to invent your own laws as you will and desire. You separate religion from your policies, contradicting the pure nature which affirms Absolute Authority to the Lord and your Creator.” Thank God our Founders rejected religion being mixed with government!
This point of bin Laden’s regarding religious beliefs having a higher priority than secular beliefs is mirrored in Israel. Israel was required by United Nations General Assembly Resolution 181 and by their own declaration of independence to have a constitution no later than October 1, 1948. They still don’t have a constitution, yet they present themselves as a democracy! The reason they do not have a constitution is because they are not a true democratic state; they are a religious state. As a Jewish state, they cannot have any laws superior to relgious laws.
Add to this mix the millions of Christians who believe their savior is a Jew and who believe all the Old Testament/Hebrew Bible teachings of Jewish superiority, such as Isaiah 60:12 which has God saying regarding Israel, “For the nation and kingdom that will not serve thee shall perish; yea, those nations shall be utterly wasted” and it becomes apparent the psychological operations the ancient Hebrews/Jews came up with and put in the Torah are still working! The Christian Zionist con-man/Christian clergyman John Hagee is so pro-Israel he and 400 Christian and Jewish leaders started the lobby group Christians United for Israel. This organization “addresses members of the United States Congress, professing a Biblical justification for the defense of Israel.”
We desperately need to progress past the ancient teachings of the “revealed” religions, whether they’re found in the Tanakah, Bible or Koran. We are in the 21st century and we are tearing ourselves apart with ancient myths and fear based superstitions.
Perhaps it’s time we embrace and use our God-given reason. We can learn much from the Deist George Washington who in a June 22, 1792 letter to Sir Edward Newenham wrote, ““Religious controversies are always productive of more acrimony and irreconcilable hatreds than those which spring from any other cause. I had hoped that liberal and enlightened thought would have reconciled the Christians so that their religious fights would not endanger the peace of Society.”
George Washington also addressed our foreign policy which, if followed, would have prevented the deadly attacks of 9/11. He said in his Farewell Address, “Against the insidious wiles of foreign influence (I conjure you to believe me, fellow-citizens,) the jealousy of a free people ought to be constantly awake; since history and experience prove, that foreign influence is one of the most baneful foes of Republican Government. But that jealousy, to be useful, must be impartial; else it becomes the instrument of the very influence to be avoided, instead of a defense against it. Excessive partiality for one foreign nation, and excessive dislike of another, cause those whom they actuate to see danger only on one side, and serve to veil and even second the arts of influence on the other. Real patriots, who may resist the intrigues of the favorite, are liable to become suspected and odious; while its tools and dupes usurp the applause and confidence of the people, to surrender their interests.”
