House Committe on Veterans Affairs

House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs wishes to express its many thanks for your support this past week, and for posting so many messages on our new Facebook and Twitter pages.  They are delighted to have received so much feedback. They are in the process of reviewing and answering your comments.

In the meantime, if you have not done so already, please sign up to receive regular updates through our Facebook page at www.Facebook.com/HouseVetsAffairs and on Twitter at www.Twitter.com/HouseVetAffairs.

They will be holding several polls on Facebook this week, so be sure to check frequently for updates.  They will also be launching our new website at Veterans.House.Gov later this week.  They hope their new site is informative and provides even more resources and information for veterans and their families.

Today, the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs passed the first four pieces of legislation for veterans. The Committee has been listening and is working hard to improve the VA system for you. Included in the bills passed in the House are new protections for veteran-owned small businesses, policy revisions at Arlington National Cemetery, and ensuring that student veterans using the GI Bill are able to remain in the school of their choice.

They will continue to provide updates through their website, new media, and newsletters.

P.S. – Be sure to recommend their new Facebook page to fellow veterans and friends!
