OLYMPIA- The Washington State Department of Veterans Affairs is proud to announce the appointment of Gina Ryan as Superintendent of the Washington Soldiers Home in Orting.

Gina served in the U.S. Army for five years as a radio communications operator and supply sergeant.  As the daughter of a career military man, she lived in Japan and Germany, as well as numerous stateside posts.

Gina’s experience in senior care brought her up through the ranks in assisted and skilled nursing facilities and provides her with a well-balanced perspective of how each area of the facility must work together to be successful.  A Licensed Nursing Home Administrator, Gina has led several facilities and has had success in achieving her census, financial and survey results.

With a strong belief that every citizen has a duty to give back, Gina also serves as a volunteer within her community and her church.  She is the proud mother of three, all currently attending college, and has one granddaughter.
