Vietnam Veterans Needed for Documentary on National Anthem

Film Company Producing National Anthem Documentary

The United States will soon mark the 200th anniversary of the writing of our National Anthem, The Star-Spangled Banner.   Aperture Films, a documentary and media production company located in Orange County California, is making a documentary and needs Vietnam Veterans to particpate. 

Smithsonian Flag National AnthemThey are working with the National Park Service at Fort McHenry in Baltimore Maryland to create an installation commemorating the events during the War of 1812 that will tell the story of The Star-Spangled Banner for visitors that will come to their new museum for the next twenty years.

Written by Francis Scott Key while he was being held prisoner by the British Navy, The Star-Spangled Banner has a unique meaning for each and every American. We are asking for your input or the input from individual members of your organiztion as to what the United States National Anthem and Flag mean to them.

In the final product, they will incorporate video clips of Americans like you sharing their thoughts about the National Anthem edited together in a film that will play in the museum.

They are seeking Vietnam War Verterans who are willing to particpate.

Participation in The Star-Spangled Banner Project for Fort McHenry involoves scheduling an in-person interview for an hour on a Saturday November 6th 2010 to share on film your views regarding the National Anthem and the Flag.

The participation in The Star-Spangled Banner Project for Fort McHenry would be voluntary with a $20 compensation for time and travel. They film company intends for this to be both a fun and meaningful experience so if you are a Vietnam Veteran or know a Veteran that would be interested in particpating, contact Zack or Theresa at Aperture Films, Ltd.
