A compelling series of aerial photographs from Haiti leads off today’s “Editor’s Picks.” The damage to “things,” to buildings and infrastructure is incredible, the physical devastation, the terrible trauma inflicted on the people of Haiti is immeasurable. The images made me wonder how any nation can survive such an event, piled on the level of crushing poverty and unemployment that Haiti already faced.
