VA's BIG ERROR on ALS Letters: Involves also Vietnam and Korean Veterans!

We now have contact with a Korean War Veteran out of Columbus Ohio that got this letter that was an obvious error!  He did have past injury years ago to 7-9th Nerves and probably peripheral neuropathy but he has no neurological ALS!

Yesterday NGWRC had a Vietnam Veteran call in and he had diabetes and probably peripheral  neuropathy but he does not have ALS.

So how many diagnostic codes really got used in sending out these erroneous letters and how many veterans got these letters?

The Korean War Veteran has not been called back by regional or any other VA contact!  So how many call backs have been successful by the VA????

The Korean War Veteran and I had an excellent conversation he is now worried how many of his buddies got these letters.  He too is worried how many veterans would end their life due to this letter.

He had sent his wife to library to get information about ALS!  His daughter was also getting information for her dad.  The daughter emailed me and we talked prior to me talking to her dad.

Now how many veterans and their family members have been scared and had to react to these letters?

I hope the VA gets it NOW!  Get out their VA on the TV and admit all the truth and nothing put the truth!  And by the way you might  thank the Gulf War Veterans that realized a huge error had been made and took the right steps that the VA should have been doing!

I was at the Saturday Function in Denver for our new VA Hospital with all the powers that be from DC and Denver and no one of them knew this was happenning and how big an issue it was!

Sad to say our concern was brushed aside last week.  Well maybe not now!

We are tired of doing your work for you VA!  Show Us you Really Care about VETERANS!  GET ON THE TV NOW and no spin!  Mr Secretary this is your ship now and you need to step up!!!  WE know this was an error and have tried to work with the VA headquarters to fix it!
