When"They" NEED OIL OR "PORK/GRAFT/CORRUPTION"
THEY CALL ON US

It would be perfectly OK for congress to play both veterans and the many corrupt and backward organizations still around from "horse and buggy" days if we were all illegal aliens involved in violent crime and had infectious diseases.
This is how the military (troops, not the "Fatasses" who live like gods in the military) and veterans are treated. Maybe we deserve what we get because we were too stupid to run away to Canada, get into protected military units (while that was possible, like the Texas or Alabama National Guard…..once a haven for cowards now numbered with our honored dead).
Perhaps all veterans, their dependents, and as many carefully concealed troops fearful of reprisals for expressing their consititutional rights should load up for Washington and learn from the demonstrators that stopped the Vietnam fiasco. I can tell you it was worse than a fiasco because I was one of the idiotic Marine grunts that fought that war and was denied employment, denied medical care and treated like a third class citizen for a long time because of my service.
It is all happening again. From the letters I get, veterans are getting no help from service organizations or congress. Some of us are helping each other but most have just given up, taken all the abuse and neglect they can, some killing themselves, some wasting away from disease, some living under bridges and thousands of widows and other dependents are suffering as a permanent under class in America.
Our government loves "warriors" when they want their picture taken but when it comes to giving them jobs (often jobs guaranteed by laws that "Conservatives" claim hurt big business), veterans are kicked in the ass.
This has to stop. We have been divided too long with too many talking about terror and "dangerous liberals" and other idiotic and inane parroting of disinformation and double-speak while we have been getting screwed.
We have too many organizations going too many directions. Some only worry about "body armor". Some only run bars and wave flags and get their pictures taken with back stabbing draft dodging governmental hacks.
One voice. One voice. One cause…..
It is time for the POW organizations, the Paralyzed Veterans organizations and the churches of America to join with the familiies that suffer loss, the troops who are being worn to nothing (many, I must admit, without alot of complaining…..Americans can be pretty cool) and begin demanding what is owed, what is right, what is deserved.
Spit on me if you must. I watched 400 major corporations spit on veterans after Vietnam by developing policies to deny them employment, or keep them at the lowest levels. Now you are murdering our children, starving their children and spending our country into poverty while the rich are living in a dream world and the rest of America is trying to hold onto their trailer or family farm.
Communism is dead. Even Nazi Fascism treated its warriors and their families better than we do. I will stand by this statement, Hitler, the insane Jew hating maniac, loved the German people a thousand times more than Bush loves the American people.
Now speech writers load the teleprompters with bullshit and the secret hatred and greed hides behind the bible and the photo opportunity.
It isn’t just Bush. Just because he has turned out to be the most inept President in memory doesn’t mean he is totally at fault. Hardly. He is probably a nice person. He is lazy. He has the attention span of a gnat. He has a long history of addiction and partying. Frankly, he is simply too much like the rest of us except a bit dumber than average doing a job that requires the tough decisions of a John Kennedy and the ability to really kick ass, not just "run home to mama" when things get tough.
It took a corrupt Republican congress to make the mess we have. Mitt Romney now talks about how everything the Republicans had done for 6 years was bullshit and how he will fix it all. For 6 years Romney never said a word while he made millions for himself and family. Now he is going to fix things? The only bullshit he needs to fix is between his ears.
For years, John McCain has spoken up about right and wrong. He has taken bribes, voted like an idiot, betraying POWs and Veterans over and over but has, from time to time, stood on his back legs like a human. For that I respect him. For his betrayal of POWs and Veterans, I would only wish he were young and in his prime and we had a moment or two to talk honor and ethics. Even years as a POW never took the silver spoon out of his mouth.
I have supported Hillary. I have been "corrected" by those in the know about her history of doing little for vets and families in New York. However lazy her staff is, she at least votes with us all the time. No, people are right, even voting with us is not enough, not with the VA bureaucracy out of control.
I think she can fix the economy. I am selling out based on my belief in economics. I really don’t think any of them care that much. It seems Wesley Clark keeps her well informed. Wesley, however, is also running alot of big business while he is working for her.
I have asked "friends"to get Wesley on the phone with me. Being a UN suckup (read diplomat), I generally can get some face time. I will get Wesley on the phone and discuss veterans issues and the Hillary campaign. I will ask for a written "Veterans Bill of Rights" that we all know is needed. Eventually, maybe, we should get all candidates for every office to sign it.
I am ready to start writing it now, with active duty soldiers, WW2 vets, patriots, the crippled and maimed, the raving and angry. It has to be done.
I want to thank this site for letting me use bad language when I need to. I want to thank other writers here for standing up for right.
I want more of you writing. I want this site promoted to everyone in the active duty military and all veterans. I want this site and what we write about discussed in every church in America.
Our war on terror has clouded our vision of right and wrong. We need to win back our honor and be more than ourselves. We need to be America. America was built to be a dream, not a reality of greed and lies. Until we band together and hit the streets, stand up and demand to be heard in our churhes and schools, we will slide into mediocrity like so many others before us.
