FORMER CONGRESSMAN MARK SILJANDER ARRESTED AS TERRORIST
WILL JESUS BE NEXT?

Yesterday, former Michigan Congressman Mark Siljander was arrested and charged in a rambling indictment with a number of bizarre crimes from "money laundering" to "obstruction of justice" along with several members of an Islamic charity.
Mark, of course, is a very very conservative Christian, almost extremist, and was a close associate of President Reagan. There may be no other person on this earth less likely to assist terrorism than Mark Siljander.
With half the friends of our government sending weapon technology to China, banking with North Korea, helping Iran run it’s oil fields, giving the Saudi’s weapons to attack Israel or working as public relations experts for dictators on our "sanctions" list, arresting Siljander, is insane…
Is this a plot? Maybe. Siljander wrote a book comparing Christianity with Islam and showing the common areas between the two. He had me review part of this book. It is very serious, took years to write and has made some people very very angry at him. It looks to me like he made people angry enough at him to arrest him for telling the world that Islam loves Jesus as an important prophet and a vital part of their religion.
To the "Armageddon Cult", read Ashcroft, Cheney and gang, such a message takes alot of wind out of their plans to bring the "select" to the right hand of G-d thru "rapture". We also have the bizarre "Left Behind/John Hagee" cult. Both are very powerful in government and, yes, we really have leaders who want to see the world destroyed so that their individual religious beliefs can be fulfilled. http://www.alternet.org/story/39748/
The problem is, of course, that these are American leaders, not Islamic terrorists and American leaders can have your door knocked down in the middle of the night and have you hauled away. We call that new privilege "The Patriot Act 1-2" and it nullifies every right from the Magna Carta onward that guarantees freedom from oppression.
One of the reasons I write this is that Mark is one of my friends. I can’t think of anyone in this world who works harder to support moderate Islamic groups and to encourage them to stand up against terrorist extremists than Mark Siljander. His life is spent fighting terrorism and supporting Christian ideals.
It is like they arrested Mary Poppins or worse.
As a disabled vet, I have talked to Mark about helping us get congress to understand what we go thru. He has listened and has been trying to help. He sees the plight of our soldiers here and our veterans as a "humanitarian crisis". This is from a guy who has spent months in the Sudan trying to help refugees. I had to tell him we have our own refugees. They are called "veterans".
Now our government has turned on one of their own, a Christian Conservative who has stood up for the wrong causes and has broken ranks with people who think cluster bombs are more the answer than prayer. Prayer is free and cluster bombs make billions for the defense contractors that have bought our government. Mark has become a threat. He has now been dealt with. They are working to destroy him.
Pick the nicest person you know, the one always there to help, always there to listen, always positive, always caring. See him dragged off in handcuffs as a "terrorist".
President Reagan must be spinning in his grave.
We have taken one of the people who has worked hardest at turning Islam in Africa to America and away from Iran and have stopped his work. What can these people have been thinking?
I am, of course, our deep rooted "progressive" read by many to be "liberal". I support veterans. I support the military. I support the United States and it’s Constitution. I do not support government gone insane. I do not support a government that has turned on its own citizens, whether to send them to war for the profit of the few, suspend constitutional rights as a cheap political ploy or worse.
I can now tell you with absolute certainty, none of you are safe from your own government.
