Hillary Clinton, the Unpleasant Reality

cow_400THE DEBATES ARE ON AND THE BULLSHIT IS GETTING DEEPER AND DEEPER
bY G. DUFF

Like many Americans, I have been so sick of politics after two questionable elections, the total meltdown of President Bush (beyond the wildest guess of any "liberal") and the current field of freaks, sickos and con artists running for president.

Today I forced myself to pull up footage on the debates and actually pay some attention.  Without getting into my own qualifications, I like to think of myself as politically experienced, having worked on elections at a number of levels and having a number of friends who are both former office holders and not currently in prison.

Last election I ended up offering reluctant support to Kerry.  I found the Swiftboat asswipes to be a sickening group and have a real memory of the anti-war movement and know that real troops stood behind Kerry, or at least a majority, especially combat vets.

The lying and bullshit about this has been amusing.  I have found Kerry haters to be, for the most part, phonies.  However, I have found that real vets never loved Kerry.  I am part of that group.  I think he is an asshole but at least not a moron.

I love the choices that American politics offers us….

Now it is 4 years later.  Bush is still in office although he is keeping his head down and everyone is trying to pretend that he has disappeared.  Instead, we are digging thru a group of candidates from both parties that makes a day in a dumpster behind a Denny’s seem clean and sanitary.

I have looked thru the Republicans and come up empty.  Ron Paul says interesting things but has an odd history.  McCain is now popular but we all know he is a total crook and insane.  Please, anyone, make a point to the contrary.  Tell me that McCain isn’t mad as a hatter even if you don’t take all the crap at www.veteransdispatch.com seriously.

Back in 2000, friends of Bush paid to have McCain trashed as a Commie agent, homosexual and more.  It is all online to read and all may be true but I don’t believe any of it.  However, he has said and done enough totally crazy things already that nobody needs to say anything else.

We have a couple of Republican candidates that are obviously religious nutcases and one that may actually have been a Mafia hitman, if you believe the ads paid for by the Police and Firemans unions in NYC.

If anything the Dems are worse.  Who the hell is Obama?  Why do I feel like I am buying a used car from this guy?  When will Edwards go away?  He never makes a lick of sense, never has and never will.

This leaves Hillary.  God help us, she is intelligent and competent.  Beyond that, I can’t think of anything positive to say about her other than that I don’t think she personally murdered Vince Foster.

What I suggest is that we settle for the joy that we will at least not have a president who is embarassingly stupid and openly corrupt.  If she turns out to be corrupt, they will either never catch her or it will take years.  Our current administration has been caught so many times it no longer means anything.

If anyone out there has a clue how to restore democracy and trust in government by supporting someone else, please submit something.  We all need to read it.

I am open to anything.

We are now trying to convince the world that 3 Iranian waterskiiers tried to "Pearl Harbour" our navy.

Next thing I expect is that we will blow up a couple of our own ships and invade Cuba again.  I would hate to think we would try anything new.

That "crash an airliner into a building" thing has become unbelievable.
